Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our service stands out because we regularly succeed when other trainers have failed! It is quite common for dog owners to hire us after they've tried other trainers and/or classes. We are not your typical dog trainer who charges by the hour or lesson. Our In-Home Adult Dog Training Program is commitment-based, which means we work with you until all of your goals are met, no matter how lengthy the training is. We value the relationships we build with our clients. If you run into issues years down the road, you can give us a call! Everyone's situation is different, which is why our training programs are tailored to your dog(s). Cookie cutter approaches will not get you or your dog to where you need to be. We will assess the situation during our consultation, discuss the recommended training method(s), and develop a custom training program. We will train you as well as your dog(s), so you could say we are also people trainers. We have the best job! We love dogs and we love helping owners strengthen their bond with their best friend(s) by improving their communication skills.

Absolutely amazing! Elissa is an amazing trainer. Wonderful experience. She loves dogs and it shows in her dedication. We have had 3 training sessions and I kid you not our dog has done a complete turn around. Thank you Elissa!

Dog Training

For the past 8 years, I have struggled to find a trainer that could help my aggressive and anxious beagle mix. I went through three to four (and wasted a lot of money!) before I hired Paw and Order Dog Training Pgh. I had just about given up when a coworker raved about their services so I figured it was worth one last shot. It has been the best decision that I have ever made. Before Paw and Order, the previous trainers I hired didn’t know how to handle my unpredictable dog. I would only get a few sessions in before each trainer realized that their techniques weren’t helping. He became so stressed and aggressive that giving him anti-depressant drugs became my only viable option. I knew that there had to be another way than giving my dog medication for the rest of his life. I was very skeptical that Paw and Order Pgh would be any different. However, in the first few minutes of my first session, I saw results with my dog that no other trainer was ever able to accomplish. It was evident that I had found the right company for the job. My beagle was responding, wasn’t stressed, and was actually improving in behavior all in the matter of an hour. Needless to say, I was absolutely amazed. I am now three sessions in with my training and I feel like I have a brand new dog. My neighbors asked where I got my newest addition and were stunned when they realized it was the same dog all along. His progress has been incredible and to me, a blessing. I can now take my dog in public without the fear he will attack another dog. He and I can enjoy our time together because he isn’t so anxious and fearful. Everywhere I go, I am asked, “Wow, how can I get my dog to be as well-behaved as yours?” My answer is to hire Paw and Order Pgh. They can train the un-trainable!

Dog Training

I am not a fan of rating something before I'm through, but I thought it important this time. My 77lb lab boxer rescue, was a danger to both of us and other dogs and people. I had him for 4 months and I had tried "positive...all food is good" training and I still had bruises and scrapes and cuts from him pulling me everywhich way when a dog was in the area or a squirrel....deer not as bad... unless they ran. He also likes to lunge at people who are too close (we haven't gone through that training yet)That being said in one week I am no longer fearful that he will be a danger to anyone... though I'm still watchful. There are still some issues, but most of those are with me and they have been wonderful articulating where I am going wrong with amazing grace. Unlike my other 2 trainers who were kinda not so graceful... I have his attention now, I just need to learn how to direct him. With a rescue I'm realizing he was not socialized and has had no direction in life on even how to play. Paw and Order is using all different types of strategies to address his tude, and the biggest one is training ME. I was a bit intimidated and wanted all positive training, but I can assure anyone who is reading this with the same issues, of "oh my I don't want to hurt my dog" 1. You are NOT hurting your dog. There is a great combination of training that is happening with him and HE is JUST fine. 2. Ultimately HE will be MUCH safer and IS MUCH safer with just a few minor tweaks. It is incredible. I was stopped by a dog lover yesterday who was so impressed with him and simply said "all dogs learn differently, they have all been exposed to different life experiences, it is finding that training that ultimately keeps them safe." I could not have put it better. The photo of him is in his "place" while he watches a dog walk not more then 30' from him. A week ago, that would have been all kinds of crazy!

I could not have been more pleased with my experience at Paw & Order. My husband and I did the Board & Train with Brittany for our 6 month old Doberman Pinscher whose favorite past time was being naughty! We could not believe the change in him when we picked him up. Prior to our board & train, my husband was really struggling with having a dog. Constantly frustrated with his misbehaving, he wanted nothing to do with him. It was to the point where I considered re-homing him because of the depression and anxiety it was causing for my husband. Literally, the day after bringing him home from the board & train, he texted me the following "This is so nice!! He's so good now. I just caught myself wondering if there are any dog friendly breakfast places I can go to lol" That text melted my heart. The dog-owning experience has become so much more enjoyable for my husband and I - and our puppy's life has improved incredibly too, as he is able to spend so much more time with us. We get constant comments from the public about how impressed everyone is with his behavior and manners. The entire Paw & Order team is not only so knowledgeable, but they have an obvious passion for all dogs and making sure they benefit from the training. The training also didn't stop when we brought our pup home. Several times a month they have "Pack Walks" where you can bring your dog to a trail to work on their walking training and socialize with other well-behaved dogs! It was such a great perk! Brittany has also been so amazing and responsive when we text her with questions. Again, the Paw & Order team genuinely want you and your dog to LEARN. The program is worth every penny and I would recommend it 100 times over! Thank you Brittany and the Paw & Order team!!

I had a "Trainer" who kicked Tiberius out of the obedien Trainin program within a half day. I thought he was hopeless. Then I found Elissa. She is wonderful! My cane corso was out of control. Jumping ,mouthing and wouldn't come when cal;led. He is 130 puounds and I dreaded coming home from work. Tiberius the terrible was his nick name. Eliissa changed all of that. When I picked him up he was a different dog. Calm, Responsive to commmands and mellow. No jumping, no mouthing and coming when called off leash. Eliissa had me come into the room with Tiberius in the wait command. He was excited to see me but he didn't move. I love Tiberius, he's a great dog and now he's obedient and I an waqlk hin on leash he doesn't pull or stray from mewhen on a leash. Elissa is wonderful and I can't thank her enough for working with Tiberus and training him, he''s perfect because he's a greaat dog and Elissa diid a wonderful job training him Tiberius. I would suggest Paw & Order if your haning problems with your dog got to Paw & Order and Elissa will fix the ppoblem . You will not regret it
