Introduction: No two students are alike... my instruction reflects this. I tailor each lesson to the musical needs of the student, as well as the emotional needs--the source of excitement, and motivation. I teach modern music ensembles (small groups of varied styles)... I know what is needed to play with other people, skills needed to CREATE with other people...and much of my instruction addresses these disciplines. I believe that LEARNING BY DOING/PLAYING is just as beneficial to the experience of music as the "one on one" and "alone time" is...the time it takes to be conversational on their chosen instrument.
