Hired to paint ceiling and walls in master suite. Reasonably priced and quality of work is excellent. We found a few holes hidden in the wall. Crew was able to patch for a nominal charge. Painter came back and did some touch up after everything dried and finished patching the drywall. Would hire again.

Jason was able to fix a short in my electrical system in the 2nd story of my house. He was friendly and charged a fair rate. Hiring him to fix my problem saved me money from having to pay a large company a much higher rate to essentially do the same thing. When I do other repairs to my house, I will likely be calling him again

Leo was awesome. Ordered a bed which came un-assembled. And when I say un-assembled, I mean the bed arrived in a box with a bunch of wood and hardware - it was like someone took a puzzle, dumped it in a box and mailed it to me. When I opened it I freaked! There was no way I was going to even try to tackle this. I kept putting it off and putting it off because I didn't want to deal with putting that thing together. Needless to say I am not mechanically inclined, nor do I claim or care to be. I advertised the project online and Leo responded with the fairest price for the job AND was the most professional person to respond. After the project was finished, in record time and completely perfect I might add, we asked him if he would be interested in completing other projects in our home - we have so many things that need fixed, repaired, installed etc. Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen - you name it. My father is in poor health lately and, although very mechanically inclined, is unable to fix, repair and install things like he used to. Therefore, a lot of things are in disrepair and there exists a lot of uncompleted projects. We decided that we could really use a guy like Leo. We asked him about painting a few rooms. He gave us a fair estimate and we know, if he continues to work for us, will produce nothing but the best! He actually just called to make sure that we receive his estimate. I spoke with him and, again, he is very professional, and he made sure he followed-up with a formal estimate for the painting job we had asked about in a timely fashion. I am glad he called, because, although I kept thinking, "I need to leave Leo a review," I kept being interrupted by other things. So, to sum it up, if you need a professional handyman/jack-of-all-trades, able to fix, install, repair, etc. (and don't be afraid to ask him if he is willing or able to do a certain project - he is forthright and capable, with big jobs or small), don't just consider Leo, HIRE him already, for goodness sake! PS: My father is about the pickiest person ever created and EVEN HE WAS SATISFIED with Leo and his work...how about that?

Hilson Painting did some remodeling work and painting in my bathroom. They did excellent work and the communication between the client and the company was exceptional. The prices were reasonable and they got the job done in the time frame that it needed to be done.

Jason did a fantastic job installing drywall on a third floor addition. I am very picky about drywall and want no imperfections. I do not want to see any seams or any mud marks. Jason's drywall work met all my expectations and even exceeded them. I have already hired Jason to work on a few other projects I needed done because I was so pleased with the job he and his crew did. I would highly recommend Jason to other homeowners.

Repairs to parts of the living room wall were necessary due to drywall tape coming off. Also in one bathroom there was a gap between the tub and tile floor. Tom fixed all the problem areas to my satisfaction. Between the work and the initial consult he made 3 visits and was there at the time he said he would be each time. He explained what he was going to do thoroughly and finished in a timely manner. I would definitely use Tom's services again and would recommend him to others.

We had just purchased an old house and wanted the old wallpaper stripped and the walls repainted in all of the closets. However, we needed this done before we moved in. Derek was able to make it work. He absolutely went above and beyond when he repaired the walls. Derek was so great to work with. He's professional, punctual, and so responsive. We look forward to hiring him again.

Cliff has a great work ethics and he will show up every day to work and not skip a day. He will try to get the job done right on time. I gave him 4 stars because he's more like handy man than really a home remodeling expert. To better explain this, I should say he can tear down a wall and repair it but his finished product isn't at a level you want to get. His painting skills is definitely on the fair side.

The job I hired out was hanging and finishing ~2100 sqft of drywall. Walls in 4 rooms and 900 sqft of ceilings. I was not present for 90% of the work - I left a key outside for them to get in and out while I was at work. All in all, John seemed like a good guy, he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with his work, and I am glad I gave the job to him. Timeliness: 5/5 John gave me a quote on a Tuesday and hung 98 sheets of drywall that Saturday. He does not do the finishing himself, but the crew that did the finishing also finished in 5 days. We needed it done quickly so we could move in, so this was critical, and we were very happy with the speed. Hanging Quality: 4/5 Overall, the hanging looked good. From my perspective, he quoted 2 days and finished in 1. If he would have slowed down and taken his time, he could have avoided a few minor things like: -Marking access panel to plumbing so it does not hit studs on both sides. -Bending drywall around an uneven stud instead of having me make a shim. Finishing Quality: 2/5 I was disappointed with the finishing crew. They spent a lot of time criticizing the rest of the drywall work in the house done by the previous owners, but theirs was not much better! They knew we wanted to protect our carpet and floors, and we spent hours covering the floors in plastic and taping it down. I came in after the first day to see the plastic pulled away from the wall in multiple places and huge globs of joint compound dropped directly onto the carpet. They also forced us to get 5.5" baseboards, because they were too lazy to fill in screws near the bottom of the sheets. They also did not sand down joints at the bottom - there are large buildups of compound ~3-4" up from the floor that I will have to sand before putting baseboards in. They charged an extra $500 to do flat ceilings vs. textured, and there were many pitted areas and gouges in those ceilings. They said they would come back and patch those, so I marked several. About half of those turned out, but the other half look the same as before. At that point, we just wanted to start living here, so I gave up on them. Price: 4/5 John quoted me for $4500 total for the 2100 sqft job. $2.15/sqft was higher than I had heard I should expect, but I did not have time to shop around. His quote ended up being pretty close, but he did not factor in that I was responsible for disposal of all waste (Additional $180 and 2 hrs of labor on my end). I also didn't know I was responsible for the 3 cubic yards of scrap disposal until the end. He moved it into the yard for me, but it was a surprise that I had to take care of it from there.

Tim did a great job. We had him repair some water damage to our bedroom ceiling, as well as patch up a number of areas where we had holes from previous electrical work. Tim was very thorough with his work and everything looked great afterward, including some areas that were very difficult to get to. Would hire again.

It's been a year, and our new sidewalk, front porch repair, newly refinished iron railing, and retaining wall are all holding up nicely. Concrete work is just expensive, but the price tag here was better than what most others quoted. We will likely hire Rob again soon for more work.

Adam and his team did a great job helping us prepare to put our house on the market. His team was quick and efficient and completed a variety of tasks, including painting, wall and drywall repair, matching of textured ceilings and appliance installation. When additional tasks were needed, they were flexible and eager to get the job done. Pricing was very good. Excellent experience working with Adam. We would definitely hire them again.

I have used Woods Construction two times now. First project was a major one: rip out kitchen cabinets, install new ones, put sink, dishwasher, ceiling fan, flooring in, repair ceiling. They also did two bathroom renovations, painted entire floor & trim. They did a great job! He stayed on the time line he promised. One area of the bathroom needed a touch up and he came back immediately to fix. His prices are competitive. I am so glad I used him because I tried another contractor at the same time for the outside work and it was a nightmare. Since then, I have used him again for outside work doing a set of cement steps. Again he did a professional job! I will be using Woods Construction again! I am very pleased.

Nate is personable and did a great job. He developed a specific plan of attack for the scope of our project(drywall and priming), and he also adjusted along the way. He does good work, too. In fact, we have already recommended him.

We hired Bill to repair (replace with new drywall) sections of our kitchen ceiling after the toilet in the bathroom above leaked. Bill provided an estimated quote and actually came down in price after seeing the damage up front. He was on time, very professional and did an absolutely fantastic job. The sections that were cut out and replaced are barely noticeable and we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Bill and Very Handy Contractors!!

Dave Finished all the drywall, trim and painted the interior of our home. He started the project with good work ethics and finished the whole way through without any issues whatsoever. He was referred to me by a friend and I am just doing my part to share the contact! Good luck Dave!
