FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to factor a lot of variables into my pricing. I work alone so I have to weigh in how long the job will take as well but I’m competitive since I’m not a larger company with multiple workers on a job. I feel I am typically cheaper so I’d like to think the pricing is already discounted. The more rooms/areas the more the $$ is discounted. Quality is most important to me so my prices don’t reflect the actual work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually make contact and wait for a reply. Once we speak with a customer we like to schedule a time to come out to see the job and communicate to see what they’re looking for. When on site I look to ask several questions and get as much of the details as possible. After reviewing all of my notes/pictures I will sit down and come up with an estimate to give back to the customer. If we do “win” the job I like to explain my process and answer any additional questions the customer may have. I like to keep any lines of communication open to ensure the customer is at peace and can always get a hold of us before, during and even after job completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was taught around the age of 13-14 years old a few “how-tos” and have learned on the job as the years have passed. I wouldn’t say I have any formal education besides using the internet for extra guidance if I’m unsure of a process.
