Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We bring a powerful trio of sound, lighting & dance. Currently working towards a PhD in Illumination Engineering, our lighting designer has built a one-of-a-kind lighting system. Motion sensors respond to his dance movements to make the room literally move to the music. The system is highly portable and can be set up indoors, outdoors, even completely off-grid. We are not your typical wedding DJs, having learned our craft in the hyper-competitive dance world. We love making magic moments even more special.

Jeff Mundinger provided services as a DJ for our swing dance event in Youngstown, Ohio. For 3 hours, his selections were unique and varied. Although his collection is extensive, his choices were extremely appropriate for our group's preferences. He was able to broaden the range of music that our dancers have been exposed to while inspiring us to pack the floor all night. He was flexible with requests, monitored the mood and flow of the crowd, and made the evening very enjoyable and stress free for the organizers. His professionalism was a reflection of his experience. I have also had the opportunity to witness his talents as a lighting designer for a separate dance event. The design was beautiful and immediately drew attention to the stage. The lighting helped to set the mood for the entire night and added to the charm of the experience. I would love to work with him again in the future!

J is a fantastic DJ and lighting designer. I've had the great pleasure of working with him on numerous occasions, and he always approaches a job with professionalism and enthusiasm. His boundless creativity brings an extra spark to every event, and he constantly strives to improve upon his work. When J spins his tunes, you literally can't get people to leave the dance floor. He earned the name "DJ Sunrise" due to multiple occasions where the audience was enjoying his music so much that they insisted on dancing through the night until well after the sun had risen again, despite his officially scheduled time having ended hours earlier. As a lighting designer, J always pushes the boundaries of art and science. He exhibits out-of-the-box thinking in his lighting placements, and he's always searching for new materials to add to his equipment to give himself unique lighting effects. Overall, I would highly recommend Fuse Live Arts for any type of event. They have a wide breadth of experience that makes their work applicable across the board. I eagerly await the opportunity to work with them again!

Bottom line: Jeff is a great DJ. The light show that he can put on is the cherry on top - pretty sweet, on top of his already top-notch DJing. He and Katie also teach dance well together - they can take complex dance moves/concepts/ideas and make them accessible so that anyone (even me!) can understand. They work well together, and watching them have fun with each other and the audience makes dancing all the more fun. I primarily know Jeff and Katie through swing dancing, and they are both fantastic at what they do. Generally, I've seen him play hour-long sets, although I've seen him do half hour or 2-hour sets before as well. He's responsive and adapts to the crowd at hand. There has been exactly one time that I know of where Jeff was late as a DJ - and that was because the organizer told both the DJs the wrong location. He's punctual, and he comes prepared to do the job; he's always set up where you want him, when you want him, so that when he needs to play, he's right there. I've even asked him for advice about DJing for dance events, and he's yet to steer me wrong.

J was absolutely fantastic at our wedding. He and an assistant showed up with plenty of time to prepare for our special day. We had an outdoor venue with separate areas for the ceremony and reception. J was was able to set up an excellent speaker system for our ceremony, complete with a wireless mic for our officiant. Afterward, the equipment was simply moved into our reception tent. We gave J a list of songs we wanted to hear and he put together an entire evening worth of great music in similar styles to what we gave him. Periodically, J and his assistant would get out on the dance floor and amp up the energy. Even when manning the DJ station, J brought an incredible amount of positive energy to the room. Overall, J was a crucial component in the success of our wedding and we can't recommend him highly enough.
