- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
First lesson fee is required prior to meeting, following this payment for each month of lessons is due prior to the students first lesson in that month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For private lessons I like to discuss musical interests with the student to get an idea of what they’re interested in. It’s also helpful to learn about your background in music so I know what topics you are already familiar with. For weddings or private performances I like to get an idea of the style of music and or selections a customer is interested in. In some cases I have arranged specific pop songs or classical works for solo guitar. After we agree on these things I confirm the time, date, length, fees, etc. and draw up a contract and request 50% of the payment as a deposit.
