Alert: I almost never do reviews and it is because they tend to run very long - you have been warned! I found On-Demand Moving (ODM) through Thumbtack. I had to find a mover for my college student in Philadelphia. She and her new roommate were moving from two furnished apartments to another one within a mile (mostly boxes). Did I mention that I live in Houston? I needed to find a reliable, reasonably priced mover that would do what I was too far away help do. Lanre responded quickly and was very good with follow-up communication answering phone calls and emails quickly. I chose ODM, who was not my cheapest quote, because Lanre could explain that more movers (3 instead of 2) were needed due to parking regulations in Philadelphia and what the cost of parking tickets were ($120!). The reviews I read also noted the care this company took with clients belongings with some even complaining about the move taking longer because of it. I would rather pay a bit more up front than deal with damaged walls and belongings afterwards insurance claims and loss of deposits. Saving money and hassle in the long run are well worth the slightly higher cost of hiring a professional company to me. Once I got a quote and signed the contact I had to hand off the dealings to my daughter and hope for the best. She was concerned because she had a narrow window due to the assigned times from the apartment complex, had no car of her own, very limited help from friends/family and had never dealt with movers before. My daughter was fairly stressed about the move the night before because she had poor choices if ODM did not show up. She had also injured her foot so was less able to move herself adding to her stress level. On-Demand Moving showed up in the window promised. Lanre brought 3 movers and was there to supervise the move. This greatly eased my daughters stress. They took everything and then some, including some items we thought my daughter would have to take herself for safety reasons. There was no damage. They ended up taking longer than the original estimate but this was due to: The care they took with all the belongings The two apartment pick-up required moving the truck. The lack of cooperation of the complex with respect to access within the building. Poor parking options due to location of the pick-up apartment and the especially the construction still underway at the drop off location requiring a longer trip from truck to door than any of us expected. In the end On-Demand Moving showed up on time and moved everything without damage. They took longer than expected but for several reasons beyond their control and that we were unable to give information about in the initial quote. They treated my daughter with respect and made a stressful day turn out wonderfully. I agree that you get what you pay for and ODM charged a reasonable price for great service. We felt that ODM has a do it right the first time attitude. I would use them again without reservation.
This was my first time using a moving service, so I don't have any prior experience (moving) to compare Moyer's Moving Services with. Actually, they did a very good job--fast, professional. I'd rate them 5 stars (which they actually earned) but their arrival time (for pick-up) was a bit delayed--but destination time (drop off) was fairly steady and on the clock. Overall, I am pleased with their work & would recommend them.
We can’t say enough good things about Donte and Don and the work they did for our move last weekend. We weren’t as prepared as we wanted to be...and they handled it with such generosity and grace. They worked hard and kept us on track. It was clear to me that they weren’t interested in going slow and racking up fees. At the same time, they weren’t rushing us and we felt like they were there to help as long as we needed on moving day. We have never worked with anyone more polite, respectful, and hard-working. HIGHLY recommended.
He texted me to confirm for 1pm earlier that day, but as soon as he realized they were stuck on I95 (no surprise!) He informed me ASAP. Not everything goes as planned, that's life. So communicating helps to alleviate the anxiety on moving day! As does his being efficient and having such positive energy considering it wasn't an easy move. Third floor walk up with high ceilings! (Sorry, Kareem!) But no attitude, just lets do this! It took longer than I thought it would, but the stairs proved to be an enemy we would not let defeat us! Neither was there an unannounced addition to my move in quote, which I found to be quite professional. The move in was much easier, as the commute helped us replenish our energy (along with some Christmas kindness!) Understand this gentleman is a real fine guy! My experience with John Carson Relocation was related to a long distance (1000 miles) move of household goods, tools, and yard equipment. Mr. Carson is a friendly and straight forward person. He was always on time, and kept in contact with me throughout the planning, loading, and moving so there were no surprises or worries about the timing of activities. He has integrity with regard to taking care of his customers' goods and their property. In the case where some damage did occur, he was quick to acknowledge it and 100% willing to make things right. He also went the "extra mile" to mail a piece of hardware that, unknown to everyone (including me) at the time of unloading, came off a furniture item and ended up going back to Pennsylvania on the truck. My only criticism of the move would be that I believe more care could have been applied to the moving of large furniture pieces (especially a piano). This includes the physical moving from the house to the truck and the blanketing of the items prior to removal from the house. John was short-handed during the pick-up and unloading due to some people having the flu. Not having enough help made the job more difficult and made protection of the furniture less than it should have been. That said, with roughly 45 moving boxes of items shipped along with the furniture pieces, all the boxed items arrived in good shape with no blemishes or damage of any kind.
JDog removed a shed for me at a very affordable price! They gave me an estimate the day I contacted them. Showed up on time. Went above and beyond by cleaning up very well and doing a little extra for us. Will definitely use them again and would reccomended to all!

Dan was very helpful from the time I first spoke to him over the phone to get an estimate, until the end of our moving day. I felt comfortable having his team in my home handling my personal things, and I am recommending that my sister use Forward Moving also.
I had a small moving job in Manhattan that I needed done at a very specific time. Was just taking a few items and a bed from midtown up to harlem. Jeff and his team were really friendly and accommodating, even with my last minute request. The men and truck were exactly on time (as needed because of strict building codes), took great care of the items being moved, and were really nice. Overall, a very easy moving experience with their help!

I was looking to have movers help me move in such a short notice (less than 24hrs). Ace kindly helped me with no rush charge or other contingency fees. We set the time to meet for the next morning at 9am. Two outstanding gentleman met me at my storage unit and begin working immediately (they were super quick). I was moving my one bedroom apartment and they were able to get everything into the truck within less than an hour! They also were able to help me move everything into my house quickly. They handle my items with care and treated them like they were their own. Needless to say, I would recommend Ace Movers to anyone looking for a quick, professional, and punctual job! Michael replied to my job request quickly. His correspondence was clear and timely. The day of, he let me know he was on his way and arrived 10 minutes early and got right to work helping me move furniture up one flight of stairs in my house. He was polite, helpful, handled by items with care and listened to directions. I had originally said the job would take one hour, but he agreed to stay an additional 30 minutes. I would hire Michael again.

Charles and Principal Property Solutions are our go to for anything in the house! He first came out to our home on Friday and he did such a great job I had him come back the next day to do more projects. From furniture delivery and assembly to tv mounting, they have the ability to do just about anything you need. Extremely professional, quality work, worked so quickly and very friendly. I've already recommended them to friends and have more jobs for them to do in the future!
I liked moving with Last Minute Moving and Storage. They were very nice and friendly. This was my first time using moving service and if I was moving again I would use this service again. They moved all of my stuff securely and they would help you with from packing, moving to even cleaning but you need to tell them before hand so that they can bring all the packing and cleaning stuff. Also, it's a good service if you don't have much time to plan your move as the name suggests Last minute Moving and Storage. But I feel the move could have been better if they had brought stuff for packing like tape, scissors, padding etc. I felt one of the worker was more active than the other. Also, please have cash handy or zelle app because they don't carry credit card machine.
I am a single mom so every penny counts. I needed help moving from PA to NJ but on a budget. Mr. Carlos was so nice, professional, and reasonably priced. He moved a 3 bd apartment for me for $1500. I was referred to Prestige when I was overwhelmed with my 3 bedroom house move that my husband and I originally planned to do alone. We were so happy that we decided to choose a moving company instead. The owner was very professional with the initial phone call and walk-through.
