Steph K. says, "I was completely impressed with Deedee and highly recommend her if you are looking for a trainer! I adopted my puppy, Blaidd, when he was around 4 months old from a rescue. He was with a foster who helped raise him and he came with a great start on his training but was still in the intense nipping phase so we knew we would have to get a trainer on board especially because we had a toddler! We started with the in home training and after the first visit with Deedee we saw an instant difference. After the first visit he decreased nipping and by the second had completely stopped. We worked on other commands and walking and by the time we were done the in home sessions we were in great shape and he walks better than any dog I’ve ever had. As he grew into his “rebellious teenager” phase Deedee was always available to answer my texts and questions with new issues that popped up.. vacuum, food aggression with our cat, and some other odd quirks including his toenails. This ended up developing into a pretty intense issue as we tried many things but could not touch his nails without him growling and attempting to bite. Long story short we did a two week board and train focusing on this issue specifically but also overall behavior modification. He returned being completely muzzle trained and I was able to touch and trim all his nails on the first day he came home! He has been fantastic since. Above all though he is wonderful with my two year old because Deedee helped us establish that boundary right away and he is so gentle and mindful of her. I’m grateful for the relationship they are building. We know this is a long journey that we are all in for and what’s wonderful is that I know Deedee is too. She truly cares and only wants the best outcome your pup! I love that she is adaptive and it’s not a one size fits all. As things changed with Blaidd we would pivot from one tool or method to another and I think that made all the difference. I know that she will be on our team and rooting for Blaidd for his lifetime and that’s a comforting feeling."See more
