Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. We provide 24 hour care for parents who work non-traditional hours. We also offer continuity of care for children who attend Discovery Charter School.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When looking for a daycare provider, choose one that mirrors your philosophy in child rearing, offers fun and engaging activities for your child and dedicated to improving themselves by continuing their education with further training.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I have a genuine love for children and their well-being. I love seeing them master preset goals and age-appropriate milestones earlier than their peers.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I opened my daycare after the birth of my first grandson. My mother raised my daughter and my mother-in-law raised my sons. How could I have done any less for my own grands? I'm proud to have the opportunity to establish a lifelong love of learning for my grands and the other children I care for.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. As a Keystone Star provider, I take more than 15 hours of training per year. Each year I focus on child development, safety and administrative topics.
