Tom fixed a cabinet that had broken off a larger piece of furniture. He did the work quickly, and you can't even tell it had been broken. Definitely recommend.
I have a 20 year old dining table which is one of my favorite pieces of furniture and he restored it to as good as new. I am so happy because I just would not be able to part with it.
He arrived as scheduled with a 5 minute buffer. His knowledge, skills and expertise were remarkable to a customer who is satisfied by no one. His pleasant, congenial and joking personality made the experience a most rewarding experience. In addition, he charged less than his estimate! That almost never happens. I hold him in high regard, will utilize his services in a hot minute and recommend him to others interested in antique furniture refinishing and repair. Please publish these comments for others to read, as he is an asset for your firm as well.
assembled 2 pieces of furniture
We needed some trim work done to cover a settlement crack along a tray ceiling that I had not been able to repair. I posted the request on Thumbtack and got a few replies with hourly rates. I contacted a couple of the contractors because I wanted to get more than an hourly cost to do the work. I described the scope of the work to each contractor and said that I wanted to get a more concrete estimate. Joe Valentino of Valentino Construction and Design estimated the job would take about 3 hours to do. I agreed on the hourly rate, and I told him I would get the material and prime and paint the wood to be ready for him. We agreed on a date. Due to circumstances beyond our control that both Joe and I had, the work got delayed by about a month. Finally, a date was set. Joe said he would get the wood and prime it. I agreed. Joe and his helper showed up at the appointed time and got to work. They were meticulous in their work. Furniture was covered or moved and tarps were laid over the carpeting. Four hours later the work was done. Beautifully, I may add. The trim work was done and Joe had even given it a couple of coats of paint to finish it. Both my wife and I loved it. They cleaned up and vacuumed the carpets. Furniture was put back in place. I asked Joe what the cost would be. He told me that we had agreed to the three hours of labor and the cost of materials so that would be it. Fantastic I thought; a man of his word. I would highly recommend Valentino Construction and Design to anyone needing carpentry work. They are friendly, do great work and are reasonable with their pricing. I give them 5 stars!
I must say that when Cindy mentioned she was sending 2 women to set up my furniture I was a bit hesitant. But Liz and Jesica rocked. They built my office set like pros and then they cleaned up and broke down all the boxes and put them neatly away. I was very impressed by these ladies and with this company. They were responsive, on-time, experts and professional. They were also available immediately which was also a plus. I highly recommend this company for any projects you have.
My 6 year old fell backwards while reclining in our antique host dining chair. To our dismay, the chair broke in 4 pieces including a diagonal break across one leg. Michael schedule a prompt evaluation on a Saturday at our home which could not have been more convenient. Our conversations led me to think that he had a lot of experience working with wood and that he really enjoyed working on antiques, but could repair any wood furniture pieces. We schedule a full repair the following Saturday and I could not believe my eyes when he was through. Michael not only fixed the chair, but he reinforced the breaks with nails and pins so that it never happens again and left the chair so beautifully touched up so that it still looks like the antique that it is. i wish i could post before and after photos because one would ever know the chair was so damaged. Mike was not only prompt and highly skilled, but clean (I did not have to clean up after him), courteous and a great value for the work. While at my home, he even agreed to fix a cabinet for me that had lost its knob and also left me with a permanent fix. I could not recommend him more highly and plan to call upon him again if we need his help in the future.
I am very satisfied with work that was done. I love my pergo hardwood floors and I appreciated how well they cleaned everything up! They did great job in a reasonable time.
From start to finish, I always felt that what I wanted and what the finished furniture represented was me. I cannot say enough about BBRANDAUX & ASSOCIATES knowledge of paints, woods, finishes, etc., and their explaining every detail of how and what was done to make my furniture more than I could ever dream it could look like was amazing. They turned ok furniture into something I never imagined I could afford in my home. I keep going into the living room and dining room and smiling that my dream of having BEAUTIFLE , EXPENSIVE furniture is now a dream come true, without the need to spend an enormous amount of money. I LOVE the work done and I will definitely have more dreams done by BRANDAUX & ASSOCIATES, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You can really make dreams come true.
Karen was outstanding in every respect. Great communication, eager to please, great price, and perfect job with our furniture assembly. Hire her!
Bartley moved some old furniture and exercise equipmen from our basement. He was prompt & efficient. We'd call on him again
Jon Ellis and Ellis Floors and More did a wonderful job with our carpet replacement. They were professional and responsive throughout the entire experience, from quote to payment. The work quality is top-notch and the work was started and completed just as they said they would. Jon even helped us out with a last-minute pressure-washing of our deck and siding. Before we found Jon, we've hired a painter who did shoddy work and was unprofessional in conduct. Jon gave us good advices on dealing with the painter and ended up helping us with cleaning up the painter's unfinished work. While their prices might not be the cheapest, you are getting a good quality work for the buck. I would highly recommend Jon and Ellis Floors for any home remodeling work.
I have worked with April as sub contractor in a professional capacity for 10 years. She is an extremely talented individual. Her workmanship is steller. She is trustworthy and well versed in the field of decorative painting.
I called Minerva Finishes because I saw that they are experts at Faux Finishes. I wanted to have a faux finish door in my living room. Doug and team did a beautiful job! They were professional and responsible. Most importantly, they were neat and clean during the painting and cleaned up after they were finished. It's almost like I got two for one service: Painters & Cleaners I would highly recommend Minerva Finishes!
Charlie & Son was very professional and easy to communicate with. Setting up the initial appointment was fast and easy. They are prompt and fair priced. The work certainly reflects the amount of time put into a job. Had Charlie repair wood furniture that I thought was beyond repair. It was chewed pretty badly by our puppy. Now it looks brand new! My fiancé and I could not be happier. Would definitely recommend for all your furniture needs.
The project isn't yet complete, but so far so good!
Totally exceeded expectations. A great value for this level of craftsmanship. Highly recommend.
I have worked in an office for well over 20 years. On my spare time, I like to repair / assemble furniture and appliances to make extra cash.
My reputation in all aspects of work is that of meticulous, creative and always taking quality to a higher level. I have seen competitors and high end store bought pieces and often am disappointed with level of durability and strength for similar price points. My clients like that I do not stop at delivery and final payment day, I like to make sure they are happy by checking in over the next year to see how my piece is holding up. This helps strengthen my relationships as well as teaches me if something does not perform as I expected, which is extremely rare :)

I can see his thumbs up. You're quite a craftsman. Amazing! You're quite the artist/magician." -- Michael "Thanks Mike. It really looks great, and you did a great job.
