He was very informed about treating the floor as I was opposed to refinishing. The floors look great and now I can market my home for sale.

Adam updated my very old master bath. He removed the molded shower stall and replaced it with a beautifully tiled shower including a built-in bench. He also tiled the floor and put in a marble threshold. I am extremely pleased with the quality of his work.

Lamarr did an excellent job cleaning our carpeting. In addition he cleaned some of our throw rugs. He is on time, very professional and offered us an excellent price. Now we are going to have Lamarr clean our stone foyer floor and clean/wax and polish our wood floors. I highly recommend Lamarr for any of your floor-cleaning needs.

Catania Masonry did an outstanding job repairing the setting for the marble steps leading up to the front of our home! John was very prompt in providing a quote, explaining what was required, and any possible additional costs that may be incurred once the work was begun and all existing damage was visible. He was kind enough to fit our project in around the Thanksgiving holiday, and immediately let us know when he wouldn't be able to complete the work on the day he originally expected while providing an alternate date.

We hired Pinoworks to totally renovate a highly dated 3bedroom/2bath condo. Mr. Pino helped from the visonary stages to the smallest details of design. He opened up an alley kitchen into a countertop seating arrangement. He installed all new countertops and marble window sills. He replaced all the woodwork around the doors and floor molding. He installed new hardwood flooring, bathroom vanities and plumbing. He was flexible to work with my ideas and he was equally creative about offering new ideas. He meticulously painted the entire condo. He worked at a very timely manner, his quote was very reasonable and he cleaned up his work space and cared for the furniture daily. I recommended him to many friends who were also pleased with his work.

Da Vinci Painting Services has completed a number of painting projects in my home, both interior and exterior and they were fantastic! Jordan and her crew were reliable, very friendly & professional, and treated my home with the best of care, clean & respectful! They do an exceptional job, taking care of all the details. The faux marble finish in my powder room that Jordan did gets wonderful compliments all the time! I will use them again without hesitation!! 👍😃

Lisa at Polish and Shine House Cleaning gave me a very good price and accommodated me very fast. I called her first on Saturday and left a voice mail, she called me back on Sunday, and I scheduled her for Monday afternoon. She promptly arrived and cleaned my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house very fast, in 2 hours. It was not the most detailed and deep job, there was some dust left on the floor and some old dirty spots on the kitchen tiles were not removed. I wouldn't qualify it as a deep cleaning, but it was a decent job for the price. She did not empty trash bins, but we did not discuss it in advance. What we discussed was cleaning the oven from the outside and she did it very well. She also brought her own supplies, including paper towels, I did not need to give her anything. I was satisfied with my experience overall, but I would go with someone more detailed and deep next time even if it costs a bit more.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

    • Old standard or electric toothbrush
    • Stiff bristle brush
    • Spray bottle
    • White vinegar
    • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.
