Introduction: Stay Young Fitness Corporation has been in business since 1999. It's important to hire an established personal training company for many reasons. One of the most important reason is turnover rate and quality of trainers. Many small personal trainining business or sole proprietor personal trainers do not last long in this business. There's nothing worse for a client than beginning a personal training routine only to have it cut short due to an independent personal trainer having to quit and find a new job.

I just began working with Stay Young, so I may update my review once we have a little more experience with them, but so far things are great. Damien has been prompt at returning phone calls and is very easy to communicate with. He really listened to what I was looking for in a trainer and sent someone who seems to fit my criteria. We have completed three sessions. Our trainer is prompt and all about business. She has a good understanding of alignment, which is important to me. I found it hard looking for trainers as there are so many people out there with flimsy qualifications wrapped up in a lose-weight-fast shtick that makes them sound like an infomercial. I did not get that vibe at all from Stay Young. They seem serious about health and achieving long-term goals. Our trainer gives lots of corrections and understand body mechanics. I live in the city and they were one of the few places that had nearby trainers. So many others are far out in the burb and kind of winy about coming into Center City.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Stay Young Fitness Corporation specializes in In-Home Fitness Services. The majority of clients that utilize Stay Young Fitness Corporation are looking to lose weight and develop lean muscle.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

What is my budget for hiring a trainer and should I hire based on cost? Fortunately and unfortunately personal training is one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S. It's fortunate because more people are getting healthier as a result of this booming occupation. It's unfortunate because someone nowadays can get an online certification that takes a few hours and can call themselves a personal trainer. This not only hurts the credibility of the "True" Personal Trainers, but it potentially hurts the client as well. Many "so-called" trainers will charge very little for their services as soon as they get their certification in the mail. They don't have overhead, experience, business costs, insurance and business sense. It's our advice to be very wary of someone who labels themselves as a personal trainer and charges significantly less than the going rate. Today, as of 2013 the average rate for In-Home Personal Training is between $68 and $77 per one-hour session. Use your best judgement. Would you choose a surgeon based on his rates? A personal trainer can dramatically help your health and life. However a bad personal trainer can harm you not only physically, but your wallet or pocketbook as well. A great, experienced Personal Trainer can get you results in as little as one-half the time a non-experienced trainer can. Just think of that before hiring someone based on prices alone. What are your certifications? Insist on a highly trained professional in the field of exercise physiology. Today there are literally hundreds of personal training certifying agencies, most of which do not require hands on experience or a comprehensive exam and evaluation. Certifications that we recognize as acceptable are: NPTI (National Personal Training Institute), ACSM ( American College of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). A personal trainer must also have experience in the field. What makes a personal trainer acceptable is their ability to handle and design programs for people of all ages, sizes, and disabilities. This not only comes from proper education, but from experience dealing with many different clients as well. Are They Fully Insured Personal Trainers? Statistics show that 85% of all personal trainers who operate under their own name do not carry adequate professional liability insurance. This not only shows a complete disregard for the integrity of the Personal Training Industry, it shows a lack of professionalism for the trainer or company.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

This is from our Company President, Damien Young. "I've been one of the very few who knew early on in my life what my purpose on this earth was. I've always believed that as long as you can find your God-given talents, work hard to groom those talents and find a way to use them in order to improve our World, you can succeed beyond your wildest dreams. I knew early on that my purpose and my best talent was in helping people live better lives. As a child I was bullied daily because I was so small. As a freshman I was 4'10 and only 95lbs. It was then that I decided to start weight training. Not only did the bullying stop, but my self confidence began to skyrocket. I felt better mentally, physically and emotionally. Exercise made such a dramatic impact in my life that I decided to share my passion with others. The very first time I helped someone lose a great deal of weight and literally transform her life before my eyes, I knew exactly what my purpose was. This was 22 years ago and I've never looked back. Every single client my Company helps gives me that much more reassurance that I'm doing what I was put on this earth to do. I absolutely love Stay Young Fitness Corporation, what it stands for and the fact that it helps so many people on a daily basis."
