Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I enjoy the transformation that takes place from day one to the day my clients reach their goal. On day one, the client is lacking confidence, unsure of themselves and struggling to perform simple exercises. As I watch them gradually get more and more fit, I can see them change not only physically, but mentally. On the day I see them reach their goal, I can see that they've built an enormous amount of confidence in themselves which carries over into their professional and personal lives. That change and transformation makes me realize that personal training isn't just about losing weight or fitting into a bathing suit, it's really about changing the overall person.

Brian helped me get into the best shape I've been in in over 30 years. I lost 35 lbs, increased upper and lower body strength, came off my blood pressure medication, and I fit into clothes I would've never dreamed of wearing because I was embarrassed of my body. Now I have my health and I have so much confidence thanks to Brian of Philly Personal Training.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I decided to get into personal training fairly early on as a young adult. I had always been athletic and enjoyed staying in shape but I wanted to teach others how to do the same. While there are many personal trainers who have transformation stories of their own, I like to teach why I've been in good shape my whole life. Often, people who are in shape their whole lives aren't in shape by accident. It's usually because they're doing something right. My goal always was and still is to teach my clients how to lead an overall healthy lifestyle so they can continue this healthy lifestyle for the rest of their lives.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Many of my clients are professionals who need an educated, experienced personal trainer to help them reach their fitness goals by designing a program that will allow them to get the results they want.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research on the personal trainer's education and experience. Can their certification be acquired in a few hours while online or does it require the trainer to have the education necessary to excel? Also, ask for a consultation and take note of how the trainer acts. Did they show up on time? Do they truly seem interested in what you have to say and what your goals are? Do they pay attention to you or do they seem distracted? Getting a personal trainer can be a big investment, make sure you know who you're dealing with before you hire them by asking questions and going with your gut.
