Regardless of your goal, we can get you there! At Hybrid, we also take great pride in our ability to not only train our clients but teach them as well. While our advanced training methods will all but guarantee immediate success for our clients, it is our teaching of the “why” behind what our clients are doing that will help create long-term understanding and sustainability. We offer a variety of packages on Personal Training with the per session time being either 30 or 60 minutes in packages of 1, 5, 10, 20 or 20+. Doug is a very dedicated personal trainer. He tailors my workouts accordingly but still pushes me to do better each time. Although I wasn’t in terrible shape when I started, I have already begun to see improvements within a month and am also notably stronger. I have never lifted a weight in my life at twenty years old before Doug, and am now doing exercises that involve weights and am persistently moving up. In addition to training, Doug also helps me formulate my diet and eating habits and frequently checks up on how I am doing. He is always willing to help and genuinely asks how my exercises and diets are going and if I am having any trouble. He is very personable and serious about helping people achieve results. Whenever I have any scheduling issues, he always accommodates the days and times I am available. I highly recommend Doug!

My 11 year old daughter is taking boxing lessons with Doug. She was very interested in taking self defense classes. Starting off with boxing has been a great choice. Doug is very knowledgeable and is a great instructor. My daughter is quite shy and feels very comfortable in the gym and with Doug. My daughter will be taking weekly lessons moving forward and is looking forward to learning the basics and hopefully trying some other forms of martial arts. I would highly recommend this gym and personal trainer for anyone (children/teens/adults) interested in the fitness arena.

I have been boxing with Doug for about four months now. He is extremely motivating and fun to work with. He offers me physical and mental challenges while continuously encouraging me to strive to be better. I would highly recommend Doug as a personal trainer

I have been training with Doug for two years, and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a personal trainer. When I first started training with Doug, I was recovering from a torn ACL. Doug helped me in my recovery process and got me back to feeling better then before the injury even happened. He took time to get to know what my goals were and always checks in to see if my goals have changed. I now keep a food journal, go over it with Doug, and he helps me make healthy changes in my diet. I look forward to our training sessions because I know that I will be pushed to work hard and will also have fun. I love the boxing sessions that we get to do as well as the agility work that Doug has gotten me back into. When I'm at the gym and not training with Doug, I always make sure to share my successes with him because I know he will be excited about what I have accomplished. I'm not sure if I would be the athlete I am today if it wasn't for Doug. His motivation and dedication to helping me reach my goals is greatly appreciated.

I have been working out with Doug the last six months. He has been extremely motivating in helping me attain my own personal goals. We never have the same work out twice. He keeps his workouts varied and challenging. He treats me like an athlete and has introduced me to things I had never tried like boxing, trx, and resistance training. Doug is very experienced and in tune to specific body parts that need to be worked on each week. He will track your progress each month if that is something you are interested in. His standards as a trainer a high for all of his clients. Just when you feel like you're ready to give up, he pushes you through to the end. I highly recommend using Doug if you are looking for a terrific trainer that will transform your body.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I hold a certification from the American Aerobic Association International which is renewed every 2 years and I frequently take training seminars throughout the year to stay current with others in my field. I am also taking courses at Temple University to complete a bachelors degree in Kinesiology.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    Weight training, strength and conditioning, sports specific training, healthy eating tips and habits.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    When looking to hire a personal trainer, experience, personality and trust are key components. The trainer should have a range of knowledge and experience in dealing with clients of different ages, skill levels and physical restrictions. For a successful client/trainer relationship the trainer must be personable and able to relate to the client. I have experienced my own transformation. I know the struggles, mentally and physically. In addition, trust is very important. The client will not get the results he/she wants without mutual trust. The client must trust that the trainer always has their best interests in mind. It is the trainers job to judge how hard to push and when to hold back but the client must also be honest with the trainer so proper adjustments can be made when needed. Lastly you should have fun -- the best training sessions are when at the end the client is already excited for the next.
