Steve was our magician during our company holiday party and was the talk of the town afterward! Steve was very helpful ahead of the event and reached out several times to ensure that his tricks align with what we are expecting. He even customizes some of his tricks to tailor your event! During the event Steve was very friendly and executed each of his tricks perfectly, he also has quite the sense of humor! Steve is a very talented magician and captured the attention of all of our guests. It was a pleasure having Steve as the magician at our event and I would certainly ask him to come out at my next event.Dec 4, 2018Verified
Steve was a great addition to our family's holiday party! Very professional, with a sense of humor and style of magic that appealed to all ages. I recommend him as a fun (and unexpected surprise for your guests!) addition to any group event. Thank you Steve!Jan 13, 2020Verified
Steve was quick to respond. He arrived early for the event to get familiar with the venue. He performed some great card tricks that kept our guests laughing and entertained. Would highly recommend!Dec 17, 2019Verified
Steve did strolling magic (card tricks) at our Wedding Cocktail Hour and he was an instant success. A lot of people came up to me during our wedding reception to let me know what a great idea to have the magician Steve at our wedding. They were very impressed with his tricks. He even did on for us and we loved it!Nov 1, 2019

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been studying magic from some of the world's best close-up masters for more than 20 years. Some of the names you may have heard of: Houdini and Blackstone. But I've also learned from other great magicians who aren't household names: Vernon and Marlo. In addition, I regularly associate with many of the best of the current generation. We exchange ideas, and it's made me a better performer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?In the late 90s, I'd go to trade shows and see some incredible magicians working booths, and attracting crowds with nothing more than a deck of cards. I was amazed and wanted to do some of this magic myself. I ended up with 17 different "trick" decks, but couldn't do anything with a "regular" deck. My epiphany came in a magic shop in New York; a magician asked me if I had a regular deck. I did, and handed it to him. I asked me to select a card from the middle of the deck. A moment later, that very same card was on the top of the deck. I was amazed...and instantly vowed to become far better at card magic. I think I've succeeded.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?I was asked by a corporate client to do magic for them at a trade show booth. They were trying to drive additional attendance, and badge scans for sales leads. The previous year, they told me, they'd gotten 125 scans. They wanted more this year...perhaps as many as 150. By the end of the three-day conference, with me working the booth, they'd obtained 390. They more than tripled their results from the previous year. The CEO said to me, "you *will* be back."
