Joe Rossi met with me, my daughter Eva, and Eva's mother, Dana at his studio. We were immediately struck by his humility, good character, and genuine devotion to providing the best possible teaching/communication to his students. He is very kind, very talented, philosophical, creative, and a rare find in these times. I will heartily recommend Joe to friends & family in the future. I appreciate Thumbtack's service, for your vehicle allowed me to meet the perfect teacher for me and Eva. In fact, Joe was so impressed with my daughter's singing/piano skills at our initial meeting, he apparently advised a woman who controls a particular scholarship fund to meet Eva during Eva's first lesson. Eva won the scholarship! By the way, I experienced difficulty on your web-page when I attempted to complete project 2 (Eva's lessons). Dana Hayden, Eva's mom, ended up contacting you instead. I am taking flamenco/classical guitar lessons from Joe.

I'm happy I decided to start taking guitar lessons. The teacher is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like I've learned a lot and I look forward to learning more. Lessons are reasonably priced and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I spent one summer taking weekly guitar lessons from Scott before moving out of town. During that summer with the help of Professor Elliott, my playing improved at a rate I would never have expected. Over a year later I am still working on exercises and concepts that he introduced to me and I continue to improve. I highly suggest taking guitar lessons from Scott Elliott or hiring him to perform at an event. He is incredibly talented with an ax in his hand, intelligent, and an all around good guy!

I've been taking lessons at Sunburst for over 4 years and could not express how much I enjoy being a student and community member there. The lessons have expanded my guitar playing beyond what I ever expected, so much that I even decided to add singing to the mix. The teachers are supportive, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend Sunburst School of Music.

I have been taking guitar lessons at N'Stuff Music for 10 years. All three of my guitar teachers have been excellent and have guided my progress in the genres of rock and classical guitar. I also took voice lessons here for about a year. The learning experience and support of the knowledgeable store staff have been outstanding. If I had to start over again, this is where I would be.

I can teach anybody to play the guitar young or old. It's never too late to learn. I've been playing guitar for over 50 years now and it's still as exciting and fun as the first time that I picked up a guitar.

I teach multi-layers of guitar techniques, ideally suited for singers and songwriters. I teach rhythm, finger picking, and soloing. I use a variety of styles such as folk rock, blues, country, Latin, bossa, jazz, funk, etc. to add variety to my songwriting, and I'd love to share this with the right student(s).

Hello! I have been playing guitar in bars weekly for the past few years. I specialize in blues, rock, and funk but am also good with country, bluegrass, reggae and singer-songwriter picking. Check out my website for a video of me playing live. Mostly, I would like to give lessons via skype.

I've taken years of music lessons and I'm willing to pass that knowledge on. I can teach a variety of percussion and stringed instruments.

I've been playing the guitar for 18 years -- seven years spent professionally. My approach is positive and patient. I want to help you achieve your dream of playing guitar!

Hey there! My name is Jeremy, a private guitar instructor through the Martier Music Academy in Aspinwall, just North of Pittsburgh. I have over 11 years of playing experience, as well as a degree in music education from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. If you're looking to learn and expand upon your knowledge and ability on the guitar, it is my job to provide you with a relaxed yet motivating environment that caters to your individual needs. I teach all styles (contemporary acoustic, classical, electric, etc.) and all ages and skill levels. In 2004, I spent 5 weeks at Berklee School of Music in Boston studying pop and rock. I currently perform throughout Pittsburgh as a solo act as well as the guitarist for the Voodoo Babies, the opening for national touring artists. The Martier Music Academy is a brand new music school in Pittsburgh with a philosophy of fun and success rooted in music education. A trial lesson is $20; regular lessons are $25 with a registration fee through the school. All lessons are for 30 minutes, and I currently teach on Thursday afternoons and evenings. Eventually, I will be adding Tuesdays to my teaching schedule once I gain enough students. Thank you, and feel free to contact me with further information, with no obligation! Check out the website for more details. J

Take guitar lessons from an experienced musician at a great price! I have played with a lot of musicians, and I know how to teach people to play music that is fun and enjoyable. My teaching techniques are a little unorthodox, but students love the way I help them to understand their instrument.

Do you want to play guitar? I mean, do you really want to develop the fine art of playing guitar? Do you want to be able to learn how to build nice chord progressions, how to play a solo melody, and do solo improvisation, in different styles of music and on all different types of guitars? Have you always wanted to learn that song from a CD, but can't get the right notes and chords? Do you need to train your ear? Do you need a good method to be able to learn to play blues, classical, folk or rock as quickly as possible? Call me. I have more than 25 years of experience teaching music. I speak English and Spanish, and can teach in either language. I have my own music studio in Squirrel Hill, specially built for enjoying music. I have very affordable rates and a flexible schedule. I teach children and adults of any age. No previous experience is necessary. References are available upon request. I teach advance guitar lessons for beginners.

I teach children and adults guitar, rhythm and lead plus bass guitar. I can also teach some beginner piano and singing lessons.

I am a professional musician who began teaching privately at the age of 18, and have been taking Guitar Students of all ages my whole Adult Life. I have taught classes at Volkwein's Music, Westland Academy for the Arts, and now at Seton Hill Community Arts Program.

I have been playing guitar and studying music theory for nine years. I am looking to help spread the joy of music by teaching beginners who wish to learn. I will teach any age. All I ask is that my students take this seriously and want to learn. My wife is my personal assistant, and all appointments and lessons will be made through her.

My students will recieve personalized lesson plans based on the individual to help them achieve their goals as a guitarist. Have a strong interest in songwriting and theory? Or perhaps learning a certain style of music? It's my job to help you develop those goals in a real, tangible way.

My lessons aren't strict or a "burden" as some may say. They would be fun and experimental, for your own benefit. Students can walk out strumming away on their first day with a smile on their face, and hardly any money out of pocket.

I do beginner to advanced guitar lessons in various styles, incorporating many different techniques. I do, for example, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, tapping, bending, hammer-ons, pull-offs, etc.

I have been teaching people my basic method of playing for over 20 years. I traveled and played guitar in other regions. I can teach someone the basic chords and scales.
