I had the honor of taking part in a private in home dinner featuring lead Chef Shaun Forsett. Overall: My experience was amazing. Being accustomed to small plates, tasting menu, and high end prix fixe experiences in Washington, D.C. it was a delight to have a taste of foodie heaven in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Hosted in a private Shadyside home, I experienced an amazing evening of expertly paired flavors. "Shef" Shaun is ever the professional. He was personable and knowledgeable giving step by step guidance of what he was doing. He assured us of the highest quality of his ingredients and gave a casual walk through the art of food. What left me amazed is that the food tasted as beautiful as it looked. There is nothing like having a photo worthy of Instagram depicting food worthy of praise. We began the evening with a first course of pan seared sea scallops. It was a colorful creation accented with fresh mango, endive, dill, a balsamic reduction and a beautiful basil oil. It was an energetic flavor pairing and it literally danced on my tongue. He walked us through step by step and I realized how much knowledge Shef Shaun had when explained exactly why he used every ingredient he used. Our second course was a Chili Crab Toast topped with Pickled Cucumber, Paprika Aioli, Leeks & Coriander.. Can I tell you how delightful this was? The cucumbers were freshly pickled and garnished with cilantro. As the Chef prepared this dish, he explained how he only used claw meat and for what reasons. It was like getting a cooking lesson and an fun evening all in one. And finally this amazing third course. Who the heck would think to put caviar on a grape. We has a Raspberry Coulis with Kiwi, Creme Fraiche, Grapes topped with Caviar, Sliced Almond... I will just leave that here. It was THAT amazing. I wish I could kidnap this guy and bring him to DC it's like having an amazing chef in your home whenever you need. I also think he would be good for many other intimate occasions. Or if you just want a cooking lesson, Shef Shaun was not apprehensive about sharing his knowledge. The mark of someone truly confident in his craft.
Gaynor's School of Cooking is truly a wonderful culinary experience! I have taken two classes with Gaynor and learned so much in preparing, cooking/baking, culinary shortcuts, and presenting delicious dishes. Gaynor is so personable, fun, and is an amazing culinary expert!
I have known Victoria for many years. I had the opportunity to enjoy Victoria's culinary skills many times. She makes a fantastic St. Patrick's Day brunch with all types of delicious dishes. She impressed me with her ability to prepare food when we went camping as well as to the beach. Victoria is such a wonderful chef that I hired her to prepare the food for my daughter's graduation party. The theme was Hawaiian and Victoria exceeded our expectations. I also order cookies trays from Victoria because her cookies are fresh and delicious. If we lived closer, I would hire her to teach me some of her skills. If you are looking for any type of culinary needs: learning how to cook or bake, food for any special occasion or if you would be lucky enough for her to go camping with you, Victoria is your go to!
I have experienced multiple cooking lessons from Cooking with Monaco. My husband is "Cooking with Monaco". When I met my husband, I was one who enjoys being in the kitchen to eat, not to cook. Over the years, with very much patience on his part, I have learned to bake dishes such as cheesecake from scratch, eggplant parmesan, Hummus, spinach-artichoke dip, and countless other items. This business is a dream for him that he is always working on and perfecting. He enjoys everything about food. I am confident in saying that you will enjoy this lesson - He is a very good teacher, not over-powering in the kitchen or intimidating. I feel like I've gained a new found respect for myself for trying to enjoy cooking, and I think you will too. If nothing else, you will become more comfortable in your own kitchen!

I kept my weight steady through all the holidays and dropped to a lower weight than I've seen in ten years afterwards. And I'm still there! All while eating what I want and not feeling hungry.
I have used Beth's business for both film set catering and personal parties. Everything she prepares, from appetizers to desserts, is amazingly delicious. And, just as important, her service is fantastic. She brings everything you can possibly need, delivers it on time and displays it beautifully. She is simply a joy to work with. Her menu planning is meticulous, offering so many choices, it's hard to choose. And did I mention delicious? I can't recommend her highly enough!
