All our furniture is made by Bruce Berman at his IDesign Company. This includes complete dining room, master bedroom (including two dressers) and perhaps his most ambitious creation: a dining room table with electrically adjustable height. Bruce has also built us a cherry wood library complete with liquor cabinet and the fireplace. I must say that we are very pleased. We have been using his furniture for over 15 years now. This is important because it proves that his furniture is not only beautifully designed but it is also durable. 15 years ago, when we were considering IDesign, we thought that perhaps he is a bit too expensive. We no longer think so. If anything, considering how pleased we are with the aesthetics and how well it functions, we've got a bargain.

Bruce has been invaluable to us as we did renovations on our new home. He provided imaginative solutions to make problem areas usable and convenient. He designed a one of a kind stunning cabinet for our bedroom, designed tv surrounds for our existing tv cabinets and created tv cabinets for the kitchen and solarium that look like they were always a part of the room. Bruce provided a realistic timeline for every project, and a detailed estimate. The best thing I can say about Bruce is he is one of the few contractors I have ever worked with that shows up on time every time, accomplishes what he promises, and bills what he says he will bill. It is very rare to find a contractor who does all of that!!

Bruce was very easy to work with. He listened to what type of work we were interested in and created ideas based on our interests rather than pushing his own agenda. His ideas were very creative and well thought out. He took his time to make sure we were happy with the furniture design. Bruce designed and made a large wood dining table and buffet, both of which turned out extremely well. He also created a design for furniture layout in our great room and helped us choose furniture for that room. I would highly recommend him without reservation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who tries to understand your goals and needs. Also make sure that the craftsperson will not under cut the quality of the project just to get the job. You will be living with the piece long after he is gone.
