Elissa Winkler is a performer, voice teacher and musical theater coach in the South Hills. Elissa, with over 11 years of experience, has served as a chorus teacher, voice teacher and musical theater coach in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, working alongside students on musicals such as Les Miserables, Into the Woods, and Beauty and the Beast.
From The Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT, Elissa earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree, as well as also studied composition and vocal performance.
Elissa maintained a voice studio of over 40 students while she pursued her degree. As a Hartt student, Elissa studied with John Feierabend, one of the leading experts on early childhood musical development in the country.
Also, Elissa teaches early childhood music classes for children ages 6 months to 6 years. She created Music in Motion, her own curriculum, by which children establish a sense of musicality while strengthening proficiency in vocabulary and motor skill development at a quicker rate.
Elissa maintains current Act 34, 114 and 151 clearances.
Together with her husband Chad, a musician with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, they both live in Bethel Park, PA with Hudson, their son.
