Introduction: I have been playing clarinet since 1980. I have traveled to Egypt, Greece and Turkey several times to study the culture and music. My band Ishtar has toured Istanbul and we are often hired by Turkish cultural organizations to perform at their events.

I have hired her to play many times, at events and festivals in MD, and have toured and traveled with her as well. She shows up on time, loves to play music and gives 100% to every gig. She plays with her full band, Ishtar, or sometimes as a smaller ensemble of 3 or 4. She has also stepped in with other musicians and led or followed in collaborative musical groups in her genre, Middle Eastern Music. She is also an excellent workshop teacher. I am hiring her back this year.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Bellydance music is a common term for songs from the Middle East. We do not have to perform *with* a bellydancer. The music is beautiful and can stand on its own without a dance performance. Bellydancers can be hired for an additional fee.
