Introduction: When I tutor an adult or a teenager the work does not end when our time together is up. I always give assignments or goals that take anywhere from 1/2 hour to 1 hour that are due the following session. I give 100% when I work and I am great at motivating people to want to learn and live more fully. Nearly all my reviews ( over 70 ) are 5 star ratings. Most of the clients I have I see on Zoom. I charge $50.00 for Spanish for one hour but I also offer package deals. If you truly can’t afford my fee talk to me. I can use a sliding scale where we figure out together what you can afford monthly. When you read some of my reviews I hope you’ll remember that the axiom of: “you get what you pay for” is often true. A few facts about my work is that I require a minimum of 1 hour a week for all my clients; also I teach most of my clients through Zoom. I live in Pittsburgh PA 15217 Squirrel Hill. Unless you can come to me we will be on Zoom. Another interesting fact about me is that I love working with teenagers!! When I was teaching in schools for over 8 years they were my favorite age group. Prior to teaching I was a therapist for teenagers who had mental health issues. I worked extensively with both the teenagers and their parents. I often have clients with mental health issues such as ADD, ADHD, anxiety, EPD, and depression. I love teaching Spanish!! When I work with someone I lose track of time because I am so focused on the person I am helping. I can honestly say that I am happiest when I am working; I have realized this aspect of myself .

I am currently learning Spanish with Anne's excellent tutoring services. Anne is very precise and professional and I enjoy working with her. I wasn't sure about learning on zoom as opposed to in person, but this has been very effective and the hour we spend is very well utilized. She is flexible with our 3 hour time difference and has been very accommodating with my regular work schedule. I plan to continue working with her until I feel comfortable speaking to others in Spanish. While you may find others that are cheaper in cost, remember- you get what you pay for and it is all in what you put into it. Muchas Gracias Ana

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When you begin to see me on a weekly basis I ask for payment one of 2 ways: at the beginning of the month for 4 sessions or you can buy a package deal where you pay for 10 lessons and get 1 free. If clients are going to see me more than 1 x a week I encourage them to buy a package of 20 lessons because they will get 3 free lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I start with a new client I want them to know I share their enthusiasm for learning !! I am committed to giving them professional support as they start or continue to learn Spanish. I want the best for them. Clients are comfortable with me and because of that they become willing to speak more freely in Spanish. I also tailor my lessons to the strengths of my clients. For example if they learn well visually then I encourage them to use flash cards for new words. Usually auditory Spanish tests are the hardest for my clients. I do my best to let them know that I am happy to repeat a phrase or a sentence as many times as necessary. I am always very patient with my clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree and I have completed some work on my masters degree. I was a Spanish teacher at a private school for 8 years working with teenagers ( my favorite age group ). Now I am strictly tutoring and I take people of all ages. I have been teaching and tutoring for over 16 years!!
