George Whittaker, LLC / Just Let George Do It
About this pro
George was a delight to work with on my projects. His quality of work and responsiveness helped me get my house ready to sell in a timely manor. The quality of work done went above my expectations. I would highly recommend him and wished he lived in my new city for future work.Apr 20, 2018Verified
Came, gave an estimate, and did good work. Amiable person. Update: 4/3/2018 I asked George to come back and install an inexpensive fence for my dog. Basically around 3/4 of 1.25 acres. George came in a couple of days, installed it one day; and it looks as good as a chicken wire fence can. I am satisfied once again! He accommodated various requests and worked around some obstacles without problems or complaints. Thanks!Apr 3, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Yes it is complicated and not easy to explain but here goes. I built an excel program to do my pricing that takes many factors into consideration when determining a flat-fee quote for my customers. Not all things are equal and not all things are considered on every job. Things like, travel, total time estimated, hardware expenses, specialized tools, special training, materials, rentals, etc. all go into making a price quote as accurate as possible. I don't work by the hour so I have no hourly rate to quote. When asked, I usually say that I only work on projects with a free, flat-fee guaranteed quote that you can agree to up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Since we don't give so-called estimates, we first set up a time and day to visit (for free) with the client to look at the areas of repair or where the items will be installed. Then, without charge, we give an assessment of any issues we determine that will affect their project. Then, again, without charge, we provide a written flat-fee quote (by email as a PDF) that is guaranteed. If the project remains as it was presented, the upfront quote is the final invoice amount. It will not change unless the scope of the project changes or any materials are bought on behalf of the customer and those materials turn out to be greater than or less than 10% of the quoted materials price range. We will either refund the difference, choose to increase the price to match or keep the quote as written.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a former real estate investor, we purchased properties and renovated them from basement to roofing. I subscribe to various methods and sites that allow me to refine my skills and incorporate the new methods, equipment and tools to accomplish projects faster and smarter, translating into lower costs for my clients. They also help me stay current with new enforcement codes in each industry.
