Toni Marie

Introduction: I am a professional singer and teacher who sings leading roles at San Francisco Opera, lyric Opera of Chicago, Festival Opera of New Zealand and on the Roster of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City among other top performing arts companies . I've been teaching voice both privately and in music institutions since 2007. My voice technique is classically rooted but serves all genres of music including musical theater, jazz, and gospel. It provides the singer with a versatile and healthy instrument. I also pair technical voice with dramatic coaching during lessons as I feel both are needed to produce great singing and artistry. Audition coaching, master classes and other specific services are also available. I enjoy working with a variety of students of various ages and experience levels. In my vocal studio, my students are consistently in the top 10 chairs in District, Region and All-state choirs, and receive leading roles and scholarships to top universities and conservatories of music. As a teacher, I especially like helping singers break out of their shell and become more confident performers. I also enjoy preparing singers for auditions in shows and for college auditions. It is gratifying when they are cast in a role or to hear that they are accepted in nation's top schools for music with scholarship offers.
