4 months to fix my computer, this was after numerous visits and calls. The owner then tried to blame it on me for not bringing him my Windows disc...but they never called and asked for it or told me they needed it in the first place. He then tried to blame it on their old secretary. So many BS excuses, he wouldn't just admit they weren't doing the work. I only found out because I went down to the shop for the 5th time to find out what was going on. I bring the disc in, 3 weeks later still no work done. This was to re-flash the firmware on a drive which takes 15 maybe 20 minutes.
I go in again and tell him if he wasn't going to fix it to let me leave with it. He asks for 24 hours to fix it, 2 days later he calls and one of the two drives was fixed and he kept the other one to try to recover the data. This took place at the end of March.
It is now May 28th and I just left the shop and he told me they lost the hard drive. All my data is gone. When I did get the computer back the case was covered in spilled beer and they didn't even bother to clean it off before they gave it back. They also lost my drivers discs for a few weeks and just found them.
The shop is sloppy, it looks like a trash heap, the techs drink while they are on the job and the owner is a prick. They overcharged for the little bit of work they did do and lost all my data and some of my hardware in the process. I have no idea how this place stays in business. Warning to everyone, stay away. There's much better shops in the area.
The owner lost my data and doesn't even care. Good luck if you use this place.

October of 2013 my fiance passed away. I needed his phone unlocked and the data backed up on a disk! John O'Briens assured me that he could do this. 2 wks after dropping the phone off he called told me to come down claiming he had this all done. I got there he made me wait around then he went got a case of beer began to drink constantly offering me beers. The other employees left he and his elementary aged daughter was dropped off. He kept claiming he was copying files on a disk for me. He asked into the back room and proceed to hit on me trying to have sex he went as far as pulling out his penis with while his daughter was running around the shop. At that point I ran out the door!! My uncle went there a day later to retrieve the phone and the disk. The disk had no information on it and the phone was wiped cleaned all the data was lost!!

Drove by today and was glad to see these people went out of business. I'm an 85 year old veteran and I had my wife's computer in for virus cleaning,, the day we got it back my grandson took a look. He called me over and said our personal files were opened I aked what he meant. Now I don't know much about computers but this is what he said. All your personal files were looked through when the computer was at Affordable Computer. I asked how he could tell, he put the mouse over the files and showed me the date himself. Wouldn't you know it was the same days it was at that place. I could tell the owner was a little strange, but who knew he could abuse the privacy of an old vet. Seems like a professional liar instead of a pro at computers. I could hear him screaming at his little girl from a back room when I picked up our computer. Should have known not to go to this dump.

Affordable Computers delivered excellent service inexpensively, I don't understand the negative reviews as my computer was taken in and returned in 2 days without any of the viruses or problems I was having. I had a printer with the tower and they fixed the printer for me at no extra cost. I recommend calling them for repairs first!

Horrible experience. Unprofessional and a rip off. Products do not work and the owner will not reasonably fix the problem. You are left to chase him, never actually resolving the issues. Not a good experience. Advice: Recognize your customers come to you to purchase a good product, one that works. If it doesn't work, it is your responsibility to take care of your customer.
