Jimmie's Handyman Service
About this pro
A difficult install of a plastic drop ceiling in the basement. The real bonus was he solved an electrical problem, and the results are terrific. Drywalling is my job, Jimmy did the ceiling, the electric, and installed the lighting.Jun 8, 2017Verified
I contracted Jimmie to finish rough plumbing in a house that is being rehabbed. Jimmie was punctual, work was satisfactory and completed in one day. I have since hired Jimmie for more work.Nov 22, 2016Verified
Jimmy did an excellent job rough plumbing, fire stopping, framing and installing a sump pump. He was punctual and conscientious in his work. What I liked about him was the feedback and advice he gave us. Excellent work for reasonable price. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family. -NandaNov 16, 2016Verified
He walked away with more then $1600 and has disappeared! He is a scam artist lacking any integrity or professionalism! Beware!Sep 29, 2016VerifiedJimmie S.'s reply
Mad at me, I was only given 1,500 job Scheduled for the end of October change their mind call Tom I be giving them the money back at the end of October they were scheduled for October 22nd. Talked to them on the Sep, 29th no didn't disappear. Natasha if you read this you should be honest. Your mad because you didn't get your back the day you changed your mind.
Our experience with Jimmie wasn't great. At first, he seemed like he would be the best choice but as the project went on we realized it wasn't as good as we thought. He gave us one quote at the beginning and then when it came time to pay it was slightly higher then originally stated. He told us it was because of the materials that he provided, except we were the ones who went and bought them 3 different times the day of the project. He also, intentionally, did the wiring for the outlet out of code. He told us it wasn't "kosher" but it was okay because he did it all the time, which doesn't make it acceptable. He also told us to return wiring to Home Depot that we had bought and said... they won't notice any is missing you can get your money back...which we find very wrong. When the project wasn't completed on day one, he said he would leave us the spackle and we could finish it up. We didn't pay him so we could finish the job.. we paid him to complete the project. He came back once after being told this wasn't what we paid for and we set up a time for him to come back and finish it and he never showed up or called. We are stuck finishing the breakfast bar that we paid him to do. I wouldn't recommend him and we weren't happy with the end result. We would have rather paid someone else more money for a job that was done right and faster then two months.Apr 19, 2017VerifiedJimmie S.'s reply
Sorry your experience wasn't a good one. as I found out, you told me you know how to do some of the work. so that you would like to safe money. change at when I started and changed things. when you had got your father involed. you mistaking me with my helper. telling about his father doing with wiring. it took because you was going to do but didn't know how.
