- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After a lifetime spent reading great literature, nonfiction, and the most esteemed publications, and studying language in college, I fell into a job writing research reports for a law firm and later editing all of its marketing collateral, including e-alerts, e-newsletters, proposals, brochures, announcements, white papers, and articles for legal and trade publications.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For a major law firm, I edited and proofread all written material for business development, and also managed all content on its website. Nothing went up on the website without my final review and approval. I can work with hard copy, or I can work in a paperless environment, i.e., electronically marking up PDFs or tracking edits in Word. The preference is yours.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Editing and improving the writing for the blog of a friend of mine, using WordPress.
