I was always an athlete growing up, and didn't think a trainer could offer anything I didn't previously know. However, I came to a point in life where I began gaining weight despite the fact that I had trained for and run a half marathon. Obviously running alone wasn't cutting it, and I decided to give Jon-Michael a try. Through our training sessions, I began working parts of the body I had been neglecting on my own. He taught me a breath and mental peace that made vigorous work outs far less daunting. Through gaining muscle tone, I'm happy with the way my body is functioning.
Tom was very thorough when getting my background and understanding what my health and fitness goals were. He took into consideration all of my concerns when putting together a program for me. We even went biking as a training day to have a new type of setting. He was great and really motivated me when I didn't think I could continue.

I had a severe hip flexor injury that was causing me a great deal of pain. I searched the internet and read dozens of articles and watched countless videos in an effort to heal the injury myself. That proved unsuccessful. I tried physical therapy, which helped a little, but the pain was still there. My doctor suggested a personal trainer. Having worked out on my own for almost 40 years, I was very skeptical that a personal trainer could help me. However, with few other options, I made an appointment with Amanda. I found her to be very congenial and very knowledgeable. And, perhaps most importantly, I believed she genuinely wanted to help. She taught me stretches and exercises that I hadn’t learned through all of my research. After a few weeks of training with Amanda I was pain free and had full mobility of my hip. After graduating from high school, I attended a D1 university and alongside was pursuing two degrees. I worked with athletes, students, faculty and staff as a personal trainer. Since graduating, I have coached high school athletes on both the junior varsity and varsity levels. I continue to train in commercial settings as well as in semiprivate and private settings also. I have worked with clients from the age of 14 all the way to 65 and with both injured and handicapped clientele. My goals are always to use physical strength and fitness to help people improve their quality of life and achieve results that they never thought were possible.

I am a very outgoing, fun and responsible person. I love children, and I love playing with them. I have babysat for my two nieces who are 3 and 1 for the past few years. Also, I am a lifeguard, and I am certified in CPR and AED. I have been a swimming teacher for little kids for 4 years at my local community pool. I am a senior at Penn State University, and I am graduating this fall but will be staying up here all next semester. Therefore, my schedule is completely open.
