- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep my pricing simple and affordable. Currently I charge $60 per hour for adult coaching sessions and $40 and hour for teens. Couples coaching is $90 per hour. My workshop pricing varies based on the venue size. For venues of less that 30 people, I charge $35-65 per person depending on the length of the workshop, all materials included. For Motivational Speaking Engagements or corporate events, estimates will be given based on engagement location and specifications.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Having survived 4 years of sexual abuse as a child, I spent years in shameful silence. I hid behind a plastic smile and pretended everything was fine when it wasn't. That silence nearly cost me my life when I was sixteen, and I made the realization on one critical day that if I was going to live I needed to speak, to talk about my experiences. It started with telling my story to a few friends; no more secrets. From there, word got around, and before I knew what was going on, people started seeking me out to talk about their tough life experiences. I realized I had something to offer people having survived my own experiences. I studied psychology and anthropology in college and worked for 18 years as a counselor, a case manager and an academic liaison. I worked with many populations and all age groups from corrections to psychiatric hospitals. Much of my career involved motivating others independently and in groups to see that their life was not decided by or limited to their past experiences, but defined by the drive and vision they had for themselves and their future. If we are willing to change our perspective and a few self-defeating life habits, we can change our world, no matter how small or how large it may seem to us. When I was sixteen, I choose to live, and I knew if I was going to do that I had to change the way I thought about myself, about the world and about opportunity. I knew that I would have to give myself a voice, as frightening as that was back then, took a deep breath and haven't stopped talking since! I inadvertently built a career from it. Now, after building my resume for 18 years, I have opened my own company, Greenstone Paradigm Inc. My goal is to share all that I have learned about holistic psychology, (healing through behavior and perspective changes, through inspiration and self-empowerment) with a much larger audience. I have a message to get across, and a lifetime of skills developed with which to do it. Life truly is beautiful when you allow yourself to live it!
