In all honesty Sheena is a fantastic Masseuse. My husband and I will continue to see her every month as we both have had back and neck issues -- receiving monthly hour massages has definitely been beneficial for both of us. It is definitely worth it! Thank you Sheena ...Feb 6, 2015
Sheena is an excellent massage therapist. She is also very professional and personable. I feel amazing after one of her massages.Sep 22, 2014
I recently started going to Sheena at Holistica for deep tissue therapeutic massages after feeling cheated on time (for the price) at bigger local establishments. I've been to her three times and each time, she has listened to my needs and specifically addressed them in a thorough and professional manner. One thing I appreciate is that she doesn't talk your ear off, which, in my opinion, adds to the relaxation of the massage. Sheena has a pleasant and caring disposition as well. The atmosphere at Holistica was quiet and relaxing and her use of aromatherapy, which the client can choose the scent, enhanced the therapeutic experience. Also, the location of Holistica is convenient to Washington, PA, being only a brief drive out of the city. I'm happy to patronize the small business that Holistica is and I highly recommend that you give Sheena your business, too. JenniferJun 26, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $65 an hour for my standard holistic massage, though, I also offer 30 and 90 minute massages. See my website for pricing on specialty services and limited time offers. I also send out coupons for birthdays and referrals!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In order to keep my massage therapy license I must complete so much continuing education every two years, which I think is great! So far I've been certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner. It was 6 days of classes in which I learned very specific techniques to alleviate pain for specific ailments. I'm also certified in hot/cold stone therapy which is extremely therapeutic in a physical and emotional way. I've completed my Reiki training which focuses on meditation, energy clearing, and healing on a holistic level.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I've always loved biology and anatomy/physiology. I've always had a love for people. Massage therapy lets me combine the two! I get to learn more and more interesting things about the body everyday and I get to spend quality time with people.
