I live outside of the area , I had some special requests he took care of . Made arrangements to meet my mom on her time line to put the home up for sale. He did a great job ! Was on time ! And actually did the job for the price that was quoted ! And not all of those additional add ons others charge to make thier prices seem lower for the exact same steam cleaning .

Tom is a conscientious professional. He arrived on time, using text messaging to communicate arrival time. I had him steam clean 5 rooms and two sets of stairs, which he accomplished in approximately 2.5 hours. Service includes moving and wiping down furniture, vacuuming floor and intake vents, pretreating and steam cleaning the carpet. The products he uses, clean effectively and are safe for pets. His rates are reasonable and I am very pleased with the results. Will be calling him again.

David did a great job working on the several different tasks I had for him including changing batteries in smoke alarms, changing light bulbs in complex light fixtures, re-adjusting a patio door, among many others! He was a perfectionist about his work while being very clean and polite. Will definitely hire again!

Cletus and his team were extremely friendly and great to work with while demo’ing our kitchen. Cletus responded to, and scheduled the work, promptly. His team then spent adequate time cleaning up before leaving. The only issue was that they did not seal the doorway properly that led into the dining room (and rest of the house) and dust entered the adjacent rooms. Other than that, we were very satisfied with their work and would definitely hire again.

She was nice, but not professional at cleaning at all. It was a cleaning before moving in. She only spent less than 1.5 hours in my 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. The previous tenant has already cleaned the apartment to some extend. I told her to mainly focus on the kitchen and bathrooms, and mop the hardwood floor. She definitely didn't moo the floor, neither did her cleaned the kitchen. I guess she only moped the bathtubs and two toilets. This was the worst cleaning I've ever hired and would not hire her again. Do not recomend.

WOW, what a great experience! We are very pleased with the professionalism and hard work from ProCleaning Solutions. I was contacted quickly by the owner and a cleaning plan was established, after a walk through of our space. She is great to work with, and very knowledgeable. The cleaners were great, they really paid attention to detail. We will definitely call them again, for our next cleaning need. Thank you so much for a job well done.

I had been putting off cleaning my carpets for longer than I'd like to admit. My carpets were a mess and I couldn't put it off any longer. Oxi Fresh made everything so easy! The technician called 20 minutes before he arrived, gave me a detailed explanation about the cleaning process and products he would use in my home, did an amazing job cleaning the carpet, and charged me exactly what I was quoted when I scheduled my job. I am thoroughly impressed with the results and how much better my carpets look. I would highly recommend Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning to anyone unfamiliar with their services.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.
