FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of my clients prefer flat-rate estimates and I like to work this way as well. For every job I'll provide a flat-rate based on my own formula and experience with how long each task takes. With flat-rates, there are no surprises for either of us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I write health and medical content for a hospital health system. I'm an active member of the American Medical Writers Association. I've written in a variety of industries, from health care and real estate to technology and nonprofits, from B2C to B2B and everything in between. I hang out with writers, editors, designers and developers and stay abreast of what's happening in the realm of Web content and development and mobile communications.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew when I was 19 years old that I wanted to be a writer. Back then, I didn't know people made money as business writers and my grandiose dreams of writing the great American novel didn't allow me to see other possibilities. As I continued my career in various writing and editing capacities, I saw the opportunity to build a healthy living providing business and marketing communications services.
