Highly recommend! My husband and I engaged Homeesque after relocating to our new home in Florida. We have worked with designers in the past and really wanted to find someone who would help us bring our style and taste to life in our new place, without breaking the bank. Carol and Diane were AMAZING!!! They invested the time to meet with us and really understand our style and budget before presenting us with several equally stunning design platforms to choose from. Their flair for design was so incredible that it was hard to choose just one! Carol and Diane helped us with everything from choosing our color palette, to furniture selection and placement, lighting, and accessories. We are thrilled with the results AND their pricing was the absolute best (I know, I checked!) Many designers claim to be focused on the customer, but these two ladies are the real deal. Every phone call and email was answered promptly, deadlines were always met, and they kept us informed through every stage from selection to ordering to delivery. And they really went the extra mile by helping us to incorporate our some of our existing furniture and accessories into the decor to save us money in the process. Homeesque really hit the mark on product, price and professionalism! I have referred them with confidence to friends and family. You cannot go wrong with Carol and Diane.

In life, sometimes you'll be cornered into making involuntary blind choices. My wife and I just made one of the best blind choices that we have ever made. Our story: We were in search of replacement blinds in our living room and in our bedroom. We prefer dealing with local vendors whenever possible. It's difficult for us to go to a showroom because we are both disabled and I am confined to a wheelchair. We searched internet until we found www.3rdgenblinds.com If you live in Southeastern PA and need blinds or window coverings, call 484-901-5250 and ask for Jessica. She will bring samples to you and in the privacy of your home and you will receive her undivided attention. Like the name of their business suggests, she and her husband are part of the third generation of professionals in this family-owned and operated local business. We felt so comfortable as Jessica answered all of our questions regarding our special needs. I am wheelchair bound and the motorized blinds was one of the choices and ultimately, the answer. She measured our windows, made common sense suggestions and never flinched when we changed our minds about certain details and color selections. Within 10 days, our blinds arrived without blemishes and expertly installed by her husband Stephen. Could we have gotten a slightly cheaper price from some other bogo nationwide company? ... perhaps. But we are not at all dissatisfied with the experience of decision-making with Jessica and with quality of our new blinds and Stephen's expertise as the installer. So if you need to make a blind choice, go to www.3rdgenblinds.com. I should mention these blinds require no dusting! Thank You 3GB!

Terry visited my home for a paint color consultation. She was very polite, professional, and came prepared. She asked questions about my preferences. What I appreciated most of all was her patience. She didn't rush me and helped me make decisions. I have a beautiful color palette for my home that I can't wait to put to use.

I bought a new house and Adam came in and worked with me to figure out a style, and palette that would work. He worked tirelessly on finding the right furnishing, colors, and accessories. The place now looks fantastic. I get compliments all the time.

I hired Dee to help give me some new ideas for my living room. I had no clue as to what I wanted done to the room other than to refresh it. She asked me some questions about my likes and dislikes. Blue is my favorite color and I shard this with Dee. About ten minutes after she left she called and excitedly told me she was going to give me a room based on my favorite color. I wasn't sure about having a blue room but once she returned fully armed with swatches, paint colors and plans she had me sold. I love my blue room!!! The walls are not blue but the furniture is and I get so many compliments on this room. I love how she mixed patterns and colors to bring the room together. Once again I hired Dee to bring her creativeness to decorating my dining and family room and again she far exceeded my expectations on both rooms. Dee hired everyone that was to see my projects to its completion and if I had any questions about their work Dee handled it all. She did research on the furniture and the stores for their quality and durability before she approached me about where I should shop for my items. She asked questions I would have never known to ask. Her prices are very fair and she earns every dime. Dee stuck with the job and crew, i.e. painter, contractor she deemed capable of getting the job I needed done until my project was completed. She is so true to her motto "Everyone Deserves A Beautiful Home" and that's exactly what she gave and helped me achieve! I almost wish I had more rooms for her to decorate. I tell her that my house went from a DIY project to an actual magazine worthy look and I love it! I recommend her because this is her passion and it shows through her work.

I hired Robin to help me with updating 18 yr.old townhouse I downsized to. I have changed my preferences from traditional to a pared down contemporary look. Robin is helping me with this transition by planning work in phases so I can budget ,color scheme selection, repositioning of current furniture and guidance about new purchases. She is highly professional, realistic, style versatile and very importantly -practical about my needs. She is not like other designers I have encountered who charge exhorbitant rates or require you to buy products. She is truly a design consultant and customer focused. Her rates are very reasonable -whether you want her help with a small project or a complete design and project management of a whole house remodel. I am still working with her on my next project - I highly recommend her.

Bartley did two separate jobs for me. First he installed floors I had purchased at a very reasonable rate. Job was done quick and looks great. The second job was building a bar area with kegerator, fridge, wine racks the whole nine. It looks amazing. Such attention to detail on the work and made a great suggestion on adding an old barn beam as a shelf. The price was right on point with both projects. I will definitely be looking to Bartley for projects that come up.

We initially worked with Linda on a paint color consultation (both interior & exterior), but quickly expanded the scope of work to include furniture, floor coverings, etc. Linda understood our aesthetic, sourced many purchases for us, and came up with innovative suggestions for our home. We love the outcome! Linda was very easy to work with, followed up on her commitments, and was efficient with our funds. I especially appreciated our collaboration on a budget before making any major choices. I also appreciate that Linda was flexible -- in some cases we asked her to make purchases for us, and in other cases we chose to do it ourselves. Linda helped us to transform our home, and we really love the results.

I hired Linda to help me downsize from a four bedroom, two story home to a two bedroom apartment in a retirement community. It was a huge task. She drew a floorplan of my new home and helped me decide what I could take. It made the process much less stressful. She helped me objectively sort out what was in my house and how to liquidate everything I did not need. I was so happy I hired her as a design consultant when I wanted to purchase new furniture.

Initially, I asked Ana to do window treatments for my bedroom. She was able to find fabric that coordinated beautifully with the color of my bedspread. The details on the window treatments are really extraordinary. Ana also helped me to pick a great color to paint the room after removing 14 year-old wallpaper. The bedroom looks beautiful. Ana also totally transformed my living room. She really listened to the feel that I wanted to create, and respected that throughout the process of choosing furniture styles, fabrics, window treatments, and accent pieces. I felt very comfortable telling her what appealed to me and what didn't. She always kept looking until she found something that I didn't just like, but loved! Ana used things that I already had whenever possible. A wooden screen from the living room is now creatively displayed on a large wall in my foyer. She works very hard to stay within a given budget, and I was never pressured to make a purchase. Ana is extremely professional in all respects. She always made appointments at times that were convenient for me, placed orders as quickly as possible, followed up with the companies with any questions, and kept me informed about deliveries. The highlight was the day all of the furniture was delivered. Ana arranged everything the room, including pictures and other decorative items. The impact of seeing the completed room was amazing! It is even better than I ever imagined it could be. After living with the new room, I decided that I want to make some changes in other areas. Ana has found a chandelier for the foyer and lights for the hallways. She has a great idea for displaying pictures where quilt is now hanging. I've also asked her to start thinking about creating a unique powder room. I know that she will come up with a solution for the small space that will make a great statement. I would highly recommend Ana to anyone looking for a decorator who is personable, professional, and creative.

My husband and I recently worked with Ellen. She is a wonderful, very professional designer and truly a great person to work with. We were very pleased with all of the projects she took on for us, and, if I do say so myself, our home looks awesome! If you are looking for a redesign, look no further. You will absolutely love her!

Nancy is great! She helped with my bathroom -- selecting bath rug & shower cutain colors that I never eould have considered. The colors matched the existing tile & wood trim and, more importantly, gave life to the bathroom. My bathroom is small so Nancy's suggestion to go with a decorative window film (replacing the dull curtains that were there) was completely welcomed. She found a nice pattern online and it worked great -- exposing the wood trim in addition to adding color & brightness. I would recommend Nancy & will confidently rely on her next time.

Nancy is a very professional, talented, and meticulous designer. When we moved to Bucks County four years ago Nancy redid our entire house. She helped me select paint colors, light fixtures and fabrics and designed all the window treatments. Her assistant, Michelle, and the people she recommended for painting, electrical wiring and window treatment installation were all a pleasure to work with. Nancy took the time to get to know us and develop her designs around our tastes and lifestyle. Over the years we have continued to work with Nancy to select and purchase furniture. Redoing an entire house can be overwhelming but Nancy made it fun and became a friend in the process.

          What do interior designers do?

Interior designers do much more than pick complementary paint colors and choose matching furniture — although those tasks are important parts of the job. Unlike decorators, interior designers usually have an associate of science degree or certificate of achievement in interior design from an accredited program. They’re trained in drafting, lighting and computer aided design (CAD), and are experts in room-specific design and residential space planning. Interior designers use these skills to plan and design safe, highly functional and beautiful interior spaces, from kitchens and bathrooms to family rooms and bedrooms. They determine space requirements, work within building codes and inspection regulations, and meet accessibility standards. An interior designer’s day-to-day job includes creative and technical tasks, both of which often require great communication skills:

          • Creating model rooms and visuals using design software.
          • Researching different textiles, materials, finishes, lighting and furniture.
          • Hiring suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
          • Estimating costs and making bids on potential jobs.

How do you find a good interior designer?

For many homeowners, the difference between a good interior designer and a bad one is simply a matter of taste — but all good designers have similar skill sets. Interior designers usually have a degree or certificate in interior design, with training in design principles and lighting, drafting, and computer aided design (CAD) software. Good interior designers have strong color balancing skills and understand how different colors influence spatial perception and moods. They know the building and electrical codes in the areas where they practice, and they make sure that any contractors they hire also work to those codes. They are knowledgeable about different upholstery fabrics and draperies, stay ahead of residential design trends, and maintain their own individual creativity. Also, good interior designers have excellent space designing skills, so they can arrange a space efficiently and with ideal traffic flow. Ultimately, hiring a good interior designer means pinpointing one whose signature style is complementary to your personal style — so checking out many designers’ portfolios is a must — and whose communication methods match yours.

How do you choose an interior designer?

Choosing an interior designer is all about finding one whose signature style fits well with your tastes and who can work within your budget. To choose the right professional for your interior design project, ask yourself these five questions:

          • What is your signature style? Good interior designers can both describe their personal aesthetic and demonstrate their signature style through their portfolios. Make sure it appeals to you.
          • How will you make sure the design fits my lifestyle? Good designers understand that the interior design must improve a homeowner’s experience in their home and fit into their lifestyle; for example, a white suede sofa is a poor choice for a family with large dogs and small children.
          • How much do you charge? Depending on the project, an interior designer may charge an hourly rate, a flat fee or a percentage of the project’s total cost.
          • How will you stick to my budget? An interior designer should have a plan for staying within your budget, which includes full transparency of costs and flexibility when choosing materials and furnishings.

Because an interior design project is highly collaborative and based on hard-to-define personal preferences, it’s most important to choose a designer who communicates clearly and listens closely to you.

How much do interior designers charge?

You can hire an interior design for a job as basic as a one-room consultation or as complex as supervising the design of an entire new home, helping with space planning, choosing color palettes, and shopping for furniture, flooring and artwork. The size and scope of the job will determine how much an interior designer charges; the average national cost for an interior designer ranges from $75 to $100 or more per hour. Other cost factors include the person’s reputation — interior designers to the stars are usually more expensive — and region. Most interior designers charge an average of $100-$225 for an initial consultation, but some will charge an hourly rate, usually starting at an average of $50, for larger projects that require extensive consultations. Hourly rates may be available for smaller projects, such as redecorating a living room or staging a home for sale; for instance, shopping and consulting can cost an average of $75 to $100 per hour, while staging costs and average $95 per hour. For many homeowners, a percentage of an interior designer’s cost is recouped through the professional discounts they receive from their vendors.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
