We used Jill to tutor my eight-year-old twin boys. She worked tirelessly with both of them who have different learning problems. Jill is very professional and patient. She quickly grasped my boys learning styles and taught them accordingly. Very often, Jill would go beyond the hour session and would sometimes call in between to check on the boys. We knew she cared a lot for our boys as they did for her. She was really inspiring and boosted their confidence so much. Jill said she would make herself available if we ever needed her again. Highly recommended Sandi R.

I never realized before how could be hard to write about yourself, especially if English is a second language. I had to write a personal statement for my application to graduate at Boston College and Boston University. The essay had to be no more than five pages and included very wide range of subject areas. I started to write, but I got stuck and frustrated, not only with writing process, but also with organizing my essay. Then I found Abigail Hillman. After she read my work and a short talk it’s became much more clear for how the proposal should be like. After the first session I felt confident and inspired. Then I made another appointment to correct grammar and to proofread it. The essay came up beautifully organized, smooth and it’s my own work, which I was very proud to submit with my admission application. Abigail also helped me with my resume. And I have to admit I never had a real resume before. Working with Abigail is amazing; she is professional, brilliant, organized and focused. I would recommend her to anyone, especially to international students like me.

Cynthia's teaching style is clever and different from how I learned Spanish years ago. I asked for conversational Spanish lessons and before I knew it she was teaching me how to say phrases that were relevant to MY life (my line of work, my hobbies, my animals etc.) it wasn't just basic regurgitation of standard phrases, it was a personal one-on-one lesson that would eventually allow me to talk about myself and my situations as opposed to the generic sayings I learned in high school (such as "I like ice cream" and "where is the library"). I'm thrilled with her approach and her knowledge of linguistics, she's very knowledgeable and personable! Incredibly happy with my sessions so far!

It is my great pleasure to personally recommend Sharon Lopatin for a teaching or tutoring position.. Sharon was vital in helping me understand and complete assignments in English, reading, writing, social studies and biology. She was also able to help me learn many new things, even when I didn’t understand it the first time. I can assure you that Sharon Lopatin is an outstanding teacher who will quickly become an integral member of your school’s community. Since our first meeting Sharon has been a great teacher because she is able to work patiently with me as I was learning a new language and could explain ideas in different ways. This level of attention and care make Sharon a wonderful teacher and educator for any student or classroom.

Michael provided college Calculus tutoring in person to my twins during the holiday Winter break, to prepare them to repeat Calculus in the Spring term, as they both struggled and failed when they were initially exposed to Calculus in college in the Fall. He will continue to be available remotely during the Spring to help them as needed while they are away in college. Michael was a fantastic tutor, and was very patient with them. My twins learned a lot from him, and he was able to identify some gaps in their knowledge. He simplified and clarified a lot of the basic concepts, and this should help tremendously as they are retaking Calculus in the Spring. I highly recommend him without any reservations.

I am a first year pharmacy student at the University of the Sciences. I am a tremendously patient person and will never rush through a lesson. I would prefer to spend a little more time explaining and elaborating on the material at hand, rather than leaving your child confused. Math is definitely my strongest subject (I received a 740/800 on my SAT). However, I am a very good writer and editor, so please do not hesitate to call me if your child needs their essay proofread or edited. (I received a 780/800 on my SAT for the writing section).
