Barbara has photographed our family several times since our first child was born and most recently with our second child's arrival. I am always amazed at how beautiful the photos turn out- of course we think our children are beautiful, but they just shine in her photos. She also is able to capture such amazing moments out of a seemingly miserable failure of a session (to me)! She just goes with the flow of working between the toddler needs and newborn's eating/sleeping/brief waking. And voila- somehow birth announcement and holiday card worthy photos! Barb also has had great ideas that will become traditions for us when she takes our photos.

I've had the privilege of working with Barbara both personally and professionally. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been enamored by photography since I was a little girl looking at the photos in National Geographic magazine. I love being able to capture a moment in time and then later be able to hold it in your hand.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I have 20 years of experience as a professional photographer. I am very open-minded and flexible and willing to work with your particular needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
As a digital photographer, people see us shooting and they don't really see any of the additional work that photographers have to do. Editing has become a large part of the digitial photographer's world. Shooting a wedding is fun but it is only part of the work. Editing the photos requires long hours in front of a cpmputer.
