Steven came to our house and cooked two dishes with my 10 year old son, who is fascinated by cooking but doesn't have many skills yet. Steven brought all the ingredients, plus knives, pots, etc. The level of difficulty was appropriate for my son--challenging enough but not too hard. The food was good. Steve was nice. But, overall, it was not what I wanted. I had asked to be able to work with my date alongside the chef to learn some skills. But, my kitchen isn't that big, and he brought along his very nice wife. So, no room for us. He didn't bring a cocktail like I asked- only non-alcoholic drinks. One of the appetizers was store bought. He was almost an hour late. I specified a vegetable that I wanted and he brought something different. Just not what I hoped for $180. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Cooking Classes start at $75-$100 per person, depending on distance. Dinner Parties are $60 per person for Soup or Salad, Entree with 2 sides and Dessert. $70 per person If Appetizers are requested.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?After the initial quote has been sent, I like to have the client have some say in what is to be cooked. Having given them some suggestions along the way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Yorktown Business Institute in York, Pa.
