I would not hesitate to recommend Arbor Tutors to anyone who asked.
I will hire Oliver again in a minute and plan to as long as he tutors. He made the difference between my grandson failing 8th grade math and making it to 9th grade. Who could ask for more? Quality = 100%!
Michelle has been a godsend for Camron with his Precalculus. He understands now and she is so patient when he gets confused. She is super friendly and very professional. She actually cares about the people that she tutors. We are going to keep her through college!! We highly recommend this lady to anyone who needs help. She knows what she is doing and does it in a way that makes learning fun. Always on time and just a true joy to work with!!
John was fantastic - he was always on-time, prepared and flexible. He worked with my son on improving his math skills for the ACT and he did just that! We would hire him again in a heartbeat!
He is AWESOME!!!!! I would highly recommend. I was in an accelerated math class, with little math knowledge and he made is easy to understand and follow. Great tutor!!!
Kathie was wonderful with my daughter. We only had a short time to work together before my daughter had to take her ACT and because of Kathie my daughter felt prepared. Will absolutely use her again for my other daughter!
My son a high school senior was having difficulty in essay writing and making college choices. Laurie helped him over the winter break and after and patiently worked with him to think about ideas for his essay. Being a digital arts major required comprehensive essays and portfolio creation. Laurie encouraged my son to get the thought process going and helped him verbalize those ideas into words. She continues to keep in touch and routinely checks on the application submission dates. Laurie is passionate about her work and that mirrors in her engagement with the students. My son never once complained about the sessions and looked forward to working with Laurie. It has been a pleasure working with Laurie and will highly recommend her for the college prep tutoring!
Mr. Bailey tutored my 12yr old son in Geometry. Mr. Bailey is an extremely kind and patient teacher. He always made learning math interesting for my son and also made sure my son fully comprehended what they were working on before moving forward. He used a lot visual teaching techniques as well, which helped my son out tremendously. I would strongly recommend Mr. Bailey to anyone looking for a tutor for their child. I know we are looking forward to future sessions with him this Fall ☺
I asked Brandon on relatively short notice to help tutor my daughter for her math SAT's. He was responsive, as he answered quickly. He seemed able to do an assessment of her needs, and address his teaching accordingly. We called with relatively little time before the test, but he helped her use some helpful strategies. And her SAT's improved as well. If she were to take the SAT's again (I think we are done with that part, thankfully), I would definitely ask him to work with her again, and I would definitely recommend him.
I have known Angela for six years and she is kind to her students and very patient. She is very knowledgeable about the piano and her students really enjoy her lessons. She works very hard to make sure that her students continue growing and learn to love the piano. i have enjoyed each lesson with her.
Rebecca Oscar: “Trevor is a very capable tutor who extended his expertise to my children in an organized and thoughtful fashion. The materials he uses to teach writing are strong and established classical methods and his patience and kindness creates a valuable learning environment. Trevor is an approachable educator who is supportive and offers feedback to both parent and child. I highly recommend Trevor for anyone looking to strengthen their child's academic performance."
Olya is truly a miracle teacher! In just 10 lessons with Olya, I was able to improve my GMAT score by 150 points! I highly recommend Olya to anyone who wants to have a chance to study at a top MBA program.

I am enjoying sharing my knowledge after 16 years of living in the USA. I know the difficulties to learn a second language, but I will explain to you first, then, without you realizing, you already know 45 % of the French vocabulary. Nothing is inaccessible. It is just the way we will learn, and because it was not easy for me to learn to speak English, I will always be at your level. We will reach the next level together; team spirit as teacher/student will bring us to your success. French is just a beautiful and precise language. I am so glad you are having the desire to understand and to speak French. Behind the language, you will discover a beautiful country with a lot of history, great food and so much gorgeous scenery.
We offer tutoring in: * Spanish (all levels) * French (beginner and intermediate) * English (everything from the non-math portions of the SAT/PSAT, ACT, ISEE/SSAT, to the AP English test and the SAT II in literature) * college application essays, etc.
