Carissa is AMAZING!!! She kept in contact with me throughout my wedding planning and was really someone I could count on. She had tons of awesome ideas and is extremely talented not only in taking photos but also in managing a large group of people (my wedding party). Carissa played a huge role in making my day incredibly special!

Carissa was an excellent photographer, capturing all of the moments we'd hoped for and more! She's very clear and helpful with working through the whole process of determining what you want and what you'll need, and she's a calming presence during a stressful (and joyful!) event. We couldn't be happier with her gorgeous images, as she lends a creative eye to composition and produced some really stunning shots. She also kept the bride from freezing during the outdoor portions of the photos on a misty fall day. We recommend her highly for capturing such a special day -- you'll have moments to cherish forever!

Thank you Kelly and Dave! You guys were a blast to work with and your wedding day was amazing. I loved the Mountains in the background. It was a day to remember always!

    About this pro

My favorite type of weddings are outdoors. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I have had work published in RI Monthly's Engaged Magazine 2015 + 2016. I won the "Best of Thumbtack" 2015 + 2016, and I recently have been awarded a "Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award" which only the top 5 percent of wedding professionals receive. I am easy to work with and love composing and creating photographs. I'm obsessed with Tiny Houses and my daughter Ella. And living a simple happy life Getting to wake up each and every day, and to know with conviction that I am doing something I absolutely love. Being a photographer is not easy. I am on my feet for 8 to 10 hours some weddings. The work afterwards continues as I go through each and every photo to color correct and crop to perfection. But getting to spend some of the most intimate moments of a lifetime and photograph them however is totally worth all the work and such a privilege. It is such an amazing feeling to photograph a bride crying during a first look or a Maid of Honor during an epic toast. I love my clients!

      Q & A

      • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I strive to make my pricing affordable while still providing amazing results. My pricing is transparent and right on my website. Throughout the year I will offer certain specials.
      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typical process for working with a new customer is to chat via email or phone to begin and then set up a in person consult when possible to meet in person. I know my clients are very busy, especially when you add planning a wedding in the mix, so I always tell them whatever is easiest for them in terms of communication works for me. Skype meetings or ice-cream and coffee all work for me! I am completely flexible to the clients needs.
      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10 years of professional experience photographing weddings and engagements. I have a Bachelors of Art from Rhode Island College. I often take online courses and webinars to stay up to date on the latest photography trends, editing styles, and products.
