Took lessons from Andy from 94' to 97'...I had been playing for ten years up to that point. He showed me things that gave me so many A-HA moments in my guitar playing. He also gave me the nickname 'hot licks'..because of my propensity for wanting to try to play fast all the time. He was very personable and patient...and funny. These lessons didn't only teach me new ideas that made my playing almost immediately better...these lessons also taught me how to approach learning. Hard to believe its already been 20 years!
Very flexible and understanding. Unfortunately, I had outside commitments that left my schedule a bit crazy and unpredictable, and Jessica always accommodate me ... However, I have yet to squeeze in a lesson, but I would highly recommend Jessica on professionalism alone, she's super sweet, excited about people's goals, and was willing to take on my idea for voice lessons, even though they were a little different (for public speaking).
John is very knowledgeable about music and made me feel comfortable starting voice lessons for the first time. Highly recommended.
I'm in my 80s and am taking jazz lessons from Joyce. She is a friend as well as a teacher. She shares her enthusiasm for music and teaches not just about playing the piano but also about the composers and the ways of personalizing my playing. Taking lessons from her has been a wonderful experience for me. I would recommend her to all age groups as she is so attuned to each person she is teaching. She's a special person.
Rachel is an outstanding voice teacher for my very beginner teenaged son. She searches for different ways to communicate with him, so he understands the skills she is seeking from him. I appreciate her efforts to "speak his language" when he is completely unfamiliar with singing.
I have been working with Gabe for the last three years. I started in college after never having taken voice lessons before. Gabe is always energetic and passionate in our lessons. You can tell he truly loves music and how it can help people express themselves. As a more reserved person it can be difficult to put emotion into the music, but Gabe always finds a way to not only instruct technique but to help you tap into the emotion of the piece. You obviously can't teach someone how to "feel" but Gabe is great at spurring you on to find the extra bit you may be holding back. He also finds a way to mix in some music theory and sight reading tips into the lessons. On top of that he's extremely flexible with his scheduling and offers very reasonable prices.
I began taking piano lessons at 70 yrs of age and Barbara has been very patient and helpful in my learning process. I'm delighted to be able to read and play comfortably and continue to learn new things in spite of previous instrumental experience.
Erin Christine is an awesome teacher! My vocals have improved ever since i started taking lessons with her and she instills belief in all her students. She's all around positive and i'm grateful to have her as a teacher☺
Samantha was a voice coach referenced to me by several different people. I couldn't have been happier with my decision. I have never connected so nicely with any type of teacher let alone musician. I am blown away by her talent and teaching methods. I have learned many many things and she was always helpful in breaking down every method. I have only gone to Samantha a handful of times and I already see a change in my voice and the health of it. She is a professional and I will continue lessons with her. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in training for a performance or even to overall better their voice.
Mat Sunday is my violin teacher and as a beginner he is patient and very knowledgeable. I have learned how to read music in a short time of course I still have a lot to learn. In short Mat is a great Teacher! Debi Baker
I've only had the pleasure of working with Kelsey, but she is wonderful! She made my daughter feel comfortable and want to stay after I pushed her through the door. Best decision I made all year was choosing Double Bar Music for my daughters voice lessons. ❤
Joyce is a lovely person whose knowledge of music is profound. We always have a great time a my lessons and I learn a lot.
Mr. Fred Delgizzo worked around my schedule for my first 30 minute guitar lesson. He was very willing to meet me where I'm at; a beginner when it comes to music and a complete stranger to the guitar. He is very friendly and patient with me. The only negative is that my fingers hurt, but I don't believe even the best of teachers can do anything about that. #waitingforcalouses
