We hired Chef Colin for my father-in-laws 65th birthday and it was such a hit. The food was delicious and we truly all enjoyed the entire experience. The chef made a special toast to us with a delicious gazpacho in cute little flutes and glasses for the kids. He catered to all ages and was super responsive in organizing the whole event. His wife was our waitress and was absolutely perfect.Aug 17, 2015Verified

We hired Colon for an executive men’s retreat at our house in Jamestown. He was one of the best chefs we’ve ever had and our standards were very high. He cooked every meal for us and went WAY above and beyond. He truly made the weekend! I will be hiring Colin for every future event we host. What a special guy with amazing talents! He was at our house preparing the most epic chicken parm when we arrived and was back at 5am the next morning preparing breakfast (more like break-FEAST). He then did tacos and salmon for lunch and a full lobster dinner. Unreal!!! Hire him and hold me accountable! THANK YOU COLIN- we all miss your cooking down here in ATLANTA!Sep 21, 2019VerifiedRhode Island Personal Chef Services's reply
Thank you so much! I enjoyed working with all of you.
Great experience with Chef Colin! I hired him fairly close to my event (bachelorette party brunch) and he got back to me in a super timely manner. The value of his services is excellent, and he had a variety of unique menu options to choose from. Prior to the event he checked in to confirm allergies, etc. One of the girls at the brunch was gluten-free, and she assumed she wouldn't be able to eat the french toast option, but Chef Colin actually prepared her her own version with gluten-free bread! It was highly appreciated. The food was DELICIOUS- the whole group was raving about the breakfast potatoes for the entire weekend. Would highly recommend!Sep 16, 2019VerifiedRhode Island Personal Chef Services's reply
I am so glad you enjoyed your event and that I made such a great impression on all of you. THank you.
The dinner he prepared for our bachelorette party of 16 was wonderful! He even prepared dessert for us which we hadn’t previously discussed. I highly recommend Colin!Jul 23, 2019VerifiedRhode Island Personal Chef Services's reply
Thank you so much Maria, I had a really great time too!
Colin came to our Airbnb in Narragansett to cook for our bachelorette of 12 people. He worked with me to create a menu that was not only delicious but accounted for everyones dietary preferences and restrictions. During the actual dinner he was engaging the group with cute things like how to fold a napkin into a rose and some light cooking humor. He really went above and beyond. Not to mention he was able to walk into the kitchen of a rental house he'd never seen and whip up an amazing meal. I was very impressed. Highly recommend!Jul 1, 2019VerifiedRhode Island Personal Chef Services's reply
Thank you for your review and your great comments. It was my pleasure serving you and your lovely friends. Peace.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Cooking classes are 135.00 per person, but if you have a group the prices decreases. Meals I provide to a family of four are generally $250.00 plus the cost of groceries per week. Not too bad considering you now have time to spend with your children as they do their homework. Catering weddings and whatnot varies based on your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?hello, once I here you are looking for a chef, I normally reach out to you and ask that you call me so that we may discuss specifics about your event and get you a proper quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a personal library of over 200 cookbooks. I stay in touch with colleagues from Johnson & Wales and I am constantly seeking new procedures and food on the internet. Keeping up with trends.
