Makeup Artistry Lessons
SO I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH about this amazing girl!! She was a fabulous teacher. She answered my questions before I even asked them. She was kind with her words while I was trying to execute what she was teaching me. She is an expert in her craft a true makeup artist and teacher. I learned so much in our secession. I hired her for two hours and she stayed longer with me so we could finish the job! I highly recommend her and I can't wait to work with her again.Jul 25, 2020Verified
I can’t speak highly enough of Loran. Every time she’s done my makeup it turns out absolutely flawless! My favorite makeup has been my wedding day. My bridesmaids, my mom and I have never looked more beautiful! She is so talented and is so fun to work with, but she is always extremely professional and reliable. I would highly suggest her to do your makeup for any occasion!Feb 23, 2020
Loren has always been my favorite makeup artists. I have used her for many special occasions but I knew when I got married she was the only person I wanted. She not only took care of me but all 7 of my bridesmaids and the 2 mothers. Everyone loved their makeup and felt amazing. She listens to what you want, helps you feel comfortable if you don’t usually wear makeup and brings out all of your best features! The bridesmaids that aren’t married yet all said they would want to use her for their wedding as well. Can’t wait to use Loren for the next special occasion in my life & I will always recommend her to anyone looking for great makeup!Feb 24, 2020
Having Loran do my makeup for my wedding day was one of the best decisions I made for myself and my bridesmaids/ Mom on my special day! Her great work ethic and professionalism really made the morning run smoothly, efficiently, and everyone felt super comfortable with Loran. She was able to make every woman feel beautiful inside and out, as well as give each woman a look than reflected their style. I don’t wear makeup often, nor do I have a lot of experience with it, so the glam she gave me for my big day made me feel like such a beautiful bride! I definitely recommend Loran, 100%!Feb 26, 2020

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? The pricing listed on my page are base prices. For exampl, Halloween makeup really depends on what type of level of Halloween look you are going for; if you are going to be a vampire and you need a really dramatic smokey eye, a dark lip, your skin to be hollowed out and washed out with a little bit of blood, that's only gonna be the base $100. However, if you are looking for a full on skeleton, where I have to not only do up the eyes but then draw on all of the bones and bring it down on to the neck and the chest and you want rhinestones and a lot of detail, That's going to bring the price up. I would be the one that would determine the pricing as I know the level of detail and work that I would put in to the look. Brides are a $150, That includes the make up trial, the day-of make up, lashes and a lip product to touch up. Everyone else that is in the wedding party or is a guest, would be $70 with another $5 per person for fake lashes that I provide and apply. There is a travel fee of 55 cents per mile after the first 30 miles of travel. For events that require me to stay to do touch-ups throughout the event, the base price is $50 an hour and is all dependent on the circumstamces.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? When working with a new customer, such as a bride, I always like to have a live conversation. Whether it be in person or over the phone, just not solely through text or email, I feel you don't get to know the person as well and if I'm going to be part of your special day I want us to have a good connection right from the start. Once we've established our relationship then we will set up a trial, as that is part of the bridal price, and the rest is a pretty traditional process. I do encourage brides to look online and on pinterest and Instagram to find some pictures of make up that they like so that way we have a point of reference to go off of. Then, of course, I will adjust it based off of your hair color, eye color, bone structure, eye shape, and just your overall style and vibe!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA in theater performance with a make up concentration from Rhode Island college and 16 plus years of training from Mac Cosmetics. Within those years I have personally trains many artists in the region as well as held lessons and seminars. I've also assisted in quarterly and basic trainings for the brand in the past as well. All of this experience has allowed me to be very flexible and versatile with my portfolio, adaptable with any client and well versed in the art of make up.
