- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If there is insurance to pay a recovery or attorney fees as with an auto, premises, product liability or workers compensation case, you pay no fee unless successful or as awarded by a workers compensation case. Otherwise we have to charge flat rate or hourly and clients are responsible for expenses (exception: workers compensation), which we can hold till the end if there is an insurance company paying the recovery.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, it it is mandatory, ten hours per year, and I have written materials for several seminar courses and taught them in recent years as well, for the National Business Institute.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a witness in an armed robbery at the age of about 10, and so was a witness in two trials. A friend of mine also had an uncle who was a lawyer and although I much liked history, I thought that I had much to learn about how the world worked and the study and practice of law is a great portal on the world. And you get to live fully in the sense of experiencing contests that matter, so you get to be tested and challenged in a way that promotes growth and self awareness and improvement. And you get to " save the day" now and then and get a lot of people their fair due.
