Sam recently finished a large scale mural at Bridgewater State University. He showed himself to be sensitive in working with students, professional in his presentation of ideas and a wonderful artist to have on campus. Highly recommend his work and work ethic.Aug 29, 2017Verified
I like how clearly he communicates and his ability to interpret my crazy story. I have hired him and looking forward to our collaborative adventure in publishing my children's ABC book.May 24, 2017Verified

A great artist to work and collaborate with. He also helped me find a space to put our installation in, which was super helpful. He was happy to work in any environment and with any medium and paid great attention to detail. The project we did was the first time he had ever worked with such a concept (anamorphic type), but he proved to have the confidence required to hire him for the gig.Mar 23, 2017
Sam is a very talented artist. I've been working with him for the past several months on a project where he is creating illustrations for one of my children's books (which is geared towards tweens / teens). I have been very pleased with the quality of Sam's work. He has great vision and requires very little guidance with his illustrations. He just sort of 'gets it.' Sam is also very easy to work with, which makes our working relationship even better. I would definitely recommend Sam to others!Aug 27, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing varies depending on the client and situation. I'm greatly interested in forging long-term relationships with clients who are kindred spirits. So I'm willing to be flexible in my pricing if I feel as though we can go on creating together.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My first step when meeting with a new client is to sit down and hear everything they've been thinking about their project to get an understanding of their vision. My objective as an artist-for-hire is to render what the client is imagining as accurately as possible so it's essential to ascertain not only the project's technical details but the style and underlying emotion. I'll then produce a round of concept drawings and work with the client until the a draft of the image or images is approved. Then I get to work on the product. If it's a mural I'll work on site during hours that are convenient to the client until the project is completed. If it's an illustration, I'll work on the piece getting feedback from the client as needed. I've had nothing but positive feedback from clients on my process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I majored in studio art in college. I've worked in the visual arts part time and of and on through the years -- painting stage sets, illustrating books creating animation for videos -- until in April of 2015 when I decided to pursue it full time. Now I work solely in the visual arts. It's been a wonderful transition.
