I have a PhD in Electrical Engineering. I was arrested and falsely accused of domestic A&B after I called the police to protect me. My first lawyer gave me wrong advise and made the situation worse. Joe Serpa came to the rescue and talked to the complainant. With one phone call Joe got her to co-operate again to get my case dismissed. If you have any criminal issues, problems or charges, I can bet Joe Serpa will solve them for you and get the result in your favour. My hats off to Joe Serpa's expertise, experience and understanding of the criminal law beyond the limitations of its pure legalistic interpretation. I highly recommend you hire Joe Serpa to defend you.

I would highly recommend Kotoni Law Offices attorney Gazion Kotoni to anyone who is looking for a competent, compassionate and highly motivated lawyer. Gazion was highly professional and extremely accommodating in my bankruptcy case. I never felt like I was “just another client”. With my past financials and stress over the matter, Gazion took the burden of getting everything for my case ready along with his requests of information. Gazion then took the necessary requirements to make the bankruptcy experience painless, friendly and very affordable. I would also like to say thanks for continuing to serve me even after my bankruptcy [and] continue sending myself updates and e-mails which is a very personal touch. Kind Regards, Myke-

I'll let you be the judge of Attorney Bombay, here's how my agreement for the Job with him went: I extended my need for a contract out to thumbtack.com for an upcoming business venture with another party. Jeremy was the first to respond to me and quoted me at $175 an hour, please see 'Bombard1' for the snippet of the conversation. Thinking this was a reasonable price, I agree to hire Jeremy for the contract. I then get sent a 'Fee Agreement' which has a clause that the 'Client agrees to pay $500 as an initial retainer', please see attached 'Bombard2' picture. Puzzled by this, I asked Jeremy for clarification and what the $500 fee was for. I was told that the initial consultation was not charged, and after that the $500 retainer would be applied to any outstanding balance. Please see 'Bombard 3' attached screen shot. Still thinking this is ludicrous, I went along thinking the $500 would be the cost of the whole thing. Not a great price at all, but at this point I really just needed the contract done. Jeremy calls me up on Memorial Day to get some information about what's needed in the contract. Says he should have something by the end of the week, I say no rush as my other party joining this is in the middle of a move herself and to just let me know when it's completed. Get another email from Jeremy asking for clarification for a few things, and then finally I'm hit with a $437.50 charge for Jeremy's time on this contract. This is where things get infuriating, as I spoke to several lawyers in the meantime whom informed me something like this should take an hour or two tops to make. Price all in should be around $250-$300 max. As you can see with these pictures, I ended up paying $937.50 after being quoted $175 an hour for the job. If we take Jeremy's original offer, he supposedly took 5 and a half hours to write this contract that he ended up giving me 3 weeks late. The icing on the cake is I was let go from my employer yesterday and am looking into legal matters for unpaid overtime this past winter. Jeremy informs me he does not handle termination suits, but refers me to his buddy who would 'Take good care of me'. After an initial half hour on the phone with his 'buddy' attorney, I'm quoted at $300 an hour for the job, told I probably don't have a case at all but should start writing a 'Demand Letter' and send it to him for his approval. Oh and just so I knew, Jeremy would likely be getting some piece of the supposedly tough to get the upcoming payout for a referral. Instantly declined this lawyer's service and said I do not want to move forward with him, then thought it would be best to share my experience with Bombard Law for anyone whom is considering hiring Jeremy for their legal needs.

I just switched to Rachel several weeks ago after being with a very established large firm in Boston that had no direction in my case not to mention cost me thousands. Just in the initial phone call Rachel took the time to listen, ask poinient questions, and assure me that she could provide strong representation. Rachel is fearless, has a tremendous track record and is compassionate to the ever- changing emotions that coincides with divorce. She keeps you in the loop every-step of the way with kindness, clearity and detailed explanations. Rachel stream-lined a game plan that made me feel I was no longer on the "defense" and could confidently go on the "offense" in the best interest of my family. This is invaluable! Although we're still in the process as it is a very messy situation. Rachel's focus, determination and constant positive support has never waivered. She is the "life preserver" or "beacon of hope" that is guiding me though the complications and frustration of a toxic situation and a major life transition.

I was in a very serious car accident and fractured my femur. I needed two surgeries and was in a wheelchair for 2 months. In all, my recovery took about a year and a half. I hired the law offices Joel H. Schwartz and they were terrific. It was an extremely scary time for me, and I am so glad I had these guys to help me through it. They were not only my lawyers, but my therapists as well! They give you so much confidence that you know everything is being taken care of properly. The 2 year process was great, and my compensation for all I went through was more than I expected. I would recommend this firm in a heartbeat to anyone hurt in an accident. They are honest and will work hard for you.

A hired Calabrese law associates to represent me in court when a dispute arose involving a real estate investment. I had hired a few contractors and things were going well but all of a sudden the contractors stopped working. The firms lawyer were quick to act and made a written demand to the contractors immediately. The contractors actually commenced work again but weeks later they stopped working. The firm then advised me to replace the old contractors and demand a return of my deposit form the old contractors. An agreement was negotiated by the firm and I did receive a large chuck of a deposit monies refunded, avoiding a costly and timely consuming lawsuit. I these lawyers handled the case perfectly.

Dedication, dedication, dedication!!! Came through for me in all ways when I was down and out. Words can not explain the level of service and quality how happy and releived that I hired him. He knows his stuff in and out and it really shows in the court room with his quiet unassuming confidence which comes from a superior knowledge of the law and being over prepared. My bankruptcy hearing was so fast I didn't even know it was over and they had to tell me twice it was over and I could go home.

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What should you look for in a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer will advocate for your legal rights if you’ve been hurt in an accident at work or in daily life, have suffered from medical malpractice, or are struggling to have your insurance carrier cover your needs. It may be helpful to talk with two or three lawyers before selecting one. When looking for a personal injury lawyer, research their reviews and make sure former clients have had good experiences with them. Next, make sure the personal injury lawyer has experience and proven success winning cases similar to yours. Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to provide services in your state. When you find a qualified personal injury lawyer with whom you want to work, freely discuss payment and fees before any work begins. Most lawyers offer a free consultation to learn what your case is about and explain their rates. Personal injury attorneys typically receive a percentage of your settlement (called a contingency fee), so they are paid after the trial or case is complete. Keep in mind that some attorneys have fees that you must pay even if you don’t win your trial. It’s important to understand these details before work begins so you don’t have any unhappy surprises later. Lastly, it’s wise to choose a personal injury lawyer that you have confidence in and with whom you can communicate openly and honestly.
