Todd Larson did an excellent job editing my book Rising Stars in Emerging Markets, published in 2013. He not only helped to cut the size of the text without changing the underlying message, but also did this under a very tight deadline. I wrote this book with the layperson reader in mind, which is always difficult to do, especially when writing about little-known names in emerging markets. But Todd helped to simplify the jargon to make the book easier to read, especially on my country-specific comments. I definitely recommend Todd for editing projects in business as well as non-business areas.
Todd copy-edited my association's 50th Anniversary book/History of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. We had numerous challenges, such as strange formatting in Word, ridiculously large file sizes, et cetera. Todd not only overcame those challenges (which were on my end, not his!), but delivered the project on time with excellent edits. I'm generally a bit harsh on copy editors -- I used to be one full-time -- but his work elevated the copy to where it really needed to be & exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be working with him again! Highly recommend.
If you are looking for a great editor for your manuscript Dave Wheeler is a great one. He is fair and generous. We still talk on the phone and he still offers his recommendations and help for the next steps. I highly recommend him.
Tope is a fantastic editor. She is able to provide such clear and concise language for any project. She helps you get to the heart of the text and ensures there are no errors

Lauren is an outstanding writer and editor. My company has had the pleasure of collaborating with Lauren on many different projects (including our promotional material, customer outreach, and online blog), and her contributions are consistently well received by our staff members and customers. She has never failed to meet a deadline, and continues to impress with her attention to detail. Lauren always goes the extra mile—I would recommend her services without hesitation!
Nolan provides outstanding editing and writing services! Nolan is an excellent communicator, and his writing style is clear and compelling. He has an impressive command of the written word, and is an exceptional editor for any variety of writing pieces, from academic to fictional or non-fictional works.
Sarah is my go-to editor/proofreader for every project; from resume design and professional writing, to academic assignments and even creative pieces. I have absolute trust in her knowledge of grammar and punctuation, as well as her eye for layout and her ear for perfect word choice. She is direct and tactful in communicating her recommendations. Our interactions have been fun, smart and time efficient. I always come away feeling uplifted.
I've worked with Debbie for 18 months but have been a friend for more than that. I love the way she writes (articles and other materials for our company). She is organized, logical, gets to the point but includes human stories and interactions that bring the information in focus. She is honest and real and this comes through in her writing.
I am an editor of and consultant for academic and creative writing. I can help students doing papers or freelance writers. I can help you finish a project you've been procrastinating on or help you start and finish the project you've always dreamed of. I've been hired by people of all ages and abilities. I have worked with a wide range of people from published, award-winning poets and other writers to Ivy League professors and doctoral students. I have also worked as an English tutor with high school and college students for over 20 years. I teach workshops on publishing and have worked at several presses. As an editor in the creative writing field people appreciate my directness and ability to encourage his or her distinct voice for each piece. In an academic and tutoring assignment it's my organizational skills and my ability to look for themes, find cohesion, and cut repetitions that helps writers the most. Finally, I am fair and honest with my estimates and communicate any possible fluctuations with my commitments in a timely manner.

I have succeeded across a wide variety of assignments, long and short term. I have written editorial op/eds, letters from the CEO, corporate and non-profit communications, analysis, screenplays, ads, marketing collateral and have loved it all. It's always about telling a story in a beautiful or compelling way to connect with your readers. I am not patient, focused, skilled and intuitive.
As a Harvard-educated English major with an interest in psychology and, quite frankly, a boatload of neuroses (if you think one informs the other, you're probably right!), the intricacies of wordplay and effective messaging have always fascinated me. After graduation, I chose to go into the field of communications, which provided me with a solid foundation in PR and marketing writing styles. Despite trying to leave this field in my next role, the passion to write -- and, even more pressingly, to edit -- kept coming back to me and guiding the projects I sought out. In my full-time positions, I have ghostwritten legal blogs for the senior counsel of a major tech corporation; edited numerous academic manuscripts for successful submission and publication, as well as a doctoral dissertation; authored Commencement speeches for a university dean; and much more. My diverse background means I'm able to tackle pretty much any project and any content that is fired my way.
I am a published writer and editor that would like to offer proofreading, editing, and writing services.
I have experience with journalistic forms (from a career at The Boston Globe), with academic communications (as news director, writer and editor at Brandeis University and Boston College), and with B2B communications (freelancing for McKinsey & Co.). Having traveled extensively during my years as a foreign correspondent, I am familiar with scores of countries and issues around the world, and am adept at working with people from different cultures. My blog is Annals of a Recovery Journalist

While I'm obsessive and thorough when it comes to removing errors, I'm also in love with the flexibility of language and feel that every project has its own distinct personality. I am aware and adaptable, always conscious of the overall tone and focus of a piece to ensure it represents you and your needs.
