In seeking a licensed, certified home inspector for our home purchase in RI, we were referred to Tom Martin by a Master Home Inspector on the West Coast. Tom had gone through the same high level training as our acquaintance and came highly recommended. Tom was quick to respond to our request, flexible in meeting our turnaround time, and reasonably priced. Although he doesn’t normally service the part of RI where our new home is located, he is very accommodating to referrals. Both via phone and in person, we knew we were dealing with a professional and one who is looking out for our best interest. On inspection day, Tom arrived early to take time to inspect the area around the house and upon meeting he thoughtfully explained his inspection process. When the inspection was completed, Tom walked us through the entire house. As he explained his findings, we could see that he does a meticulous inspection. Tom also made a few suggestions for the house which are mandated in MA, where he is a certified inspector, however not required in RI. Even our realtor was impressed by the knowledge and information shared by Tom, who offered to be contacted if we needed any further assistance with the house. We received the full inspection report and photos of a minor deficiency via email the next day. We have actually contacted Tom several times in the three weeks following the inspection for his guidance prior to our home purchase. On each occasion Tom was more than willing to share his expertise and made excellent recommendations, which will continue to save us money and eliminate stress. There are many home inspectors out there and then there is Tom Martin.

Besides marriage, buying a house is one of the largest investments of a lifetime. This is a decision that requires a lot of consideration and a decision that you cannot take alone and especially without the invaluable support of a good inspector. When we had to buy our first home, Tom put his expertise at our disposal. He spent about three hours to inspect every corner of the house while providing us with appropriate advice. Tom was always available to us weeks or months after the inspection to guide us and provide us the best advice. If you are looking for a patient, competent, and available home inspector to help you protecting your investment, we recommend Tom Martin form Quality Check Home Inspection. I would like to share a wonderful experience that my fiancé and I recently came across with Tom from Quality Check Home Inspection. We are in the process of purchasing our very first home, so therefore we were very nervous and had many questions. We tried calling several other home inspection companies from the area and left several messages. Tom was the only individual who returned our call in a timely manner. He was so professional and knowledgeable. He had a wonderful personality and was very personable. He went above and beyond our expectations. Tom spent time over the phone with us explaining in detail how the whole process of what is involved in a home inspection. We were very satisfied and scheduled our appointment with him. Tom was prompt, very organized and extremely detail oriented. We were so pleased with his quality of work and would highly recommend him to anyone. My fiancé and I can definitely tell that this is the line of work that Tom was meant to do.

A true professional that goes above and beyond I was nervous about buying a older home and sat around for hours looking at reviews for a great home inspector. Boy did I find one in Tom! The man is a true professional that goes above and beyond on the inspection aspect of his business but also spent time educating me about maintenance for the house. If you want someone that will inspect your home like he's buying it himself and pulls no punches, I highly recommend Tom

Tom inspected a home we were interested in buying. He left no stone unturned. He noticed all potential and current issues with the home. He wrote a very thorough report and has been available 24/7 to explain the report. I would recommend him to anyone, especially someone buying an older home.
