Todd did an excellent job of editing my book proposal! Will definitely hire him again.
Todd copy-edited my association's 50th Anniversary book/History of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. We had numerous challenges, such as strange formatting in Word, ridiculously large file sizes, et cetera. Todd not only overcame those challenges (which were on my end, not his!), but delivered the project on time with excellent edits. I'm generally a bit harsh on copy editors -- I used to be one full-time -- but his work elevated the copy to where it really needed to be & exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be working with him again! Highly recommend.
If you are looking for a great editor for your manuscript Dave Wheeler is a great one. He is fair and generous. We still talk on the phone and he still offers his recommendations and help for the next steps. I highly recommend him.
I co own a music company that published a compressive book focusing on music equipment. Lee proof read and edited the books text. We were very satisfied with her dedication and attention to detail.
Diane was amazing! My book went through several filters, including my professional editor. She found several errors that needed to be addressed before it went to press. I was very impressed with her ability to see how some suggested changes were connected to other pages in the book. For instance, changing a term in a given chapter meant it needed to be changed in the study guide at the end of the book. Diane showed her ability to be flexible as her work included editing two PDF documents. One PDF was from the book printer and the other version included several new pages that needed adjustments from a graphic designer. Although, this is not the recommended way to proof read a 360 page book, she accepted the challenge with enthusiasm. Diane was able to return the project to me in a surprisingly short time, given the length of the book. She is not only a highly skilled editor and proofreader, she is also very personable. I highly recommend Diane Brown!
I've worked with Monica for nearly 15 years on projects ranging from YA books to technical articles in trade magazines. I appreciate her careful evaluation of editorial content, attention to detail, proactive communication and on-time delivery. The last few projects have involved fiction and nonfiction book editing for my publishing company. As usual, she came in on time and under budget. I strongly recommend her to writers, editors, and publishers looking for a professional copy editor or proofreader.
Nolan provides outstanding editing and writing services! Nolan is an excellent communicator, and his writing style is clear and compelling. He has an impressive command of the written word, and is an exceptional editor for any variety of writing pieces, from academic to fictional or non-fictional works.
Lauren is a detail-oriented, creative and diligent editor, writer and translator. Her strong academic writing produces clear and thoughtful work. Her ability to collaborate and listen to her clients' needs allows Lauren to understand and provide exact and relevant translations/edits. Her eye for detail allow her to go above and beyond the scope of her projects. She is always quick to respond to emails, and is always professional and punctual with deadlines. It is a real joy to work with Lauren.
I highly recommend reading "I call myself Earth Girl. The story is compelling and not easy to put down. Ms. Greene has given us a beautifully written book that carries messages that are dear to my heart. Her method of bringing these subjects to light will reach many. It is a thought-provoking book that left me thinking long after the last sentence.
It's a pleasure to work with someone who can communicate the core of your message even better than you can! Luanne "gets" it. A beautiful writer and excellent editor, Luanne is a joy to work with. A true professional!
Sarah is my go-to editor/proofreader for every project; from resume design and professional writing, to academic assignments and even creative pieces. I have absolute trust in her knowledge of grammar and punctuation, as well as her eye for layout and her ear for perfect word choice. She is direct and tactful in communicating her recommendations. Our interactions have been fun, smart and time efficient. I always come away feeling uplifted.
Tom was very thoughtful in his feedback on my document (85,000 words) and often offered alternative phrasings in the comments section. He queried things he did not understand clearly and I never felt like he skirted over any sections without checking things properly. His rates were also extremely reasonable for the work done. I was thankful to have another set of eyes to check through my work.
While I'm obsessive and thorough when it comes to removing errors, I'm also in love with the flexibility of language and feel that every project has its own distinct personality. I am aware and adaptable, always conscious of the overall tone and focus of a piece to ensure it represents you and your needs.
Reliable, high integrity, imaginative, significant experience in corporate sphere, journalism, publishing, and public relations.
I have experience with journalistic forms (from a career at The Boston Globe), with academic communications (as news director, writer and editor at Brandeis University and Boston College), and with B2B communications (freelancing for McKinsey & Co.). Having traveled extensively during my years as a foreign correspondent, I am familiar with scores of countries and issues around the world, and am adept at working with people from different cultures. My blog is Annals of a Recovery Journalist
As a Harvard-educated English major with an interest in psychology and, quite frankly, a boatload of neuroses (if you think one informs the other, you're probably right!), the intricacies of wordplay and effective messaging have always fascinated me. After graduation, I chose to go into the field of communications, which provided me with a solid foundation in PR and marketing writing styles. Despite trying to leave this field in my next role, the passion to write -- and, even more pressingly, to edit -- kept coming back to me and guiding the projects I sought out. In my full-time positions, I have ghostwritten legal blogs for the senior counsel of a major tech corporation; edited numerous academic manuscripts for successful submission and publication, as well as a doctoral dissertation; authored Commencement speeches for a university dean; and much more. My diverse background means I'm able to tackle pretty much any project and any content that is fired my way.

I am an editor of and consultant for academic and creative writing. I can help students doing papers or freelance writers.
