Hugo welded a vintage camper trailer for me - got it back to a sturdy foundation for my planned camper restoration. He came to my house with equipment and got the job done in a couple of hours. Very reasonably priced. He was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I will definitely call him again! Thank you Hugo - great job!
Dave did a great job setting up my bed frame. It was a very extensive and time consuming project. He was thorough and put the frame together perfectly even adding support tools where needed. Highly recommended.
Joe is very hard working and honest handyman. He was able to complete installing very hard to assemble swing set which came with poor instructions and also wooden pieces were not marked. He had very positive and get it done attitude throughout the project and never gave up. He made sure the swing set was safe and secure for the kids to play once done with installation. He was very patient to answer several of our questions.
Mark was able to assemble a play set with very short notice and was very professional and prompt. He was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend his services.
So far ,I gave accepted his quote, but still waiting to see how it all plays out,I feel he is capable, communication could be better
I hired George to paint my very large deck. He communicated very well to make sure the project got done in a timely manner. George worked very hard in direct sunlight in 90 degree weather and did not bother me for a single thing or complain. I even felt terrible that it turned out to be such a hot day. I now have a beautiful deck for my young son to play on. We look forward to hiring George in the future for other projects.
Bill and Donna were fantastic. They came over after a snow storm and helped us set up our son's apartment, reassembling a big IKEA bed and other miscellaneous pieces of furniture. We'll work with them again, for sure!
I purchased a home two years ago and needless to say there was a lot of work that needed to be done. Scott Arnold did some work for me throughout a period of six months to a year. Most of the work was upgrading and rehabbing the houses existing rooms and some cosmetic updates. He got right to it and was all business. He never gave the impression that he didnt know what direction to take to get the job done. The work was exceptional. He was professional and reviewed everything with me prior to starting and double checked with me that I was satisfied prior to completing the job. I had no issue leaving Scott in the house alone to do work and he was respectful of my private space. He was clean and kept his tools and equipment in order. I would recommend Scott Arnold for any job, of any size. He does top notch work and can be trusted.
Hired them to cut down 22 oak trees along the side of my house. Required some technical expertise because several were close to the house. Also, I have an underground propane tank which precluded ability to use bucket truck or other heavy equipment. They brought all trees down safe and sound without any damage. They also cleaned up after themselves every day - not just on the last day. The job took about 7 working days to complete. Price was right too. Very pleased with the service - I would recommend them.
Ed Wallace was hired to renovate the kitchen in my home which required removal of a wall, custom cabinetry and movement of all major appliances. I felt this was a unique project because of its complexity, and based on a friends recommendation, I hired Ed for the job. As it turned out, hiring Ed ended up being one of the best decisions I made on the entire project. This job had major challenges from start to finish. From uneven flooring to a cantilever that had to be leveled, Ed met each challenge every step of the way and consulted with me throughout the job as I had requested. Ed was reliable throughout the entire job from the initial proposal phase, throughout the completion of the job including the final clean-up. He was always punctual, completed the job on time and on budget and his attention to detail and craftsmanship was second to none. I consider the project a complete success with Ed playing an integral role and recommend Ed for any carpentry or home renovation projects. G. Aquilino Airmont, NY
I had been doing research online and consulting with friends to see if anyone knew a honest and reliable company that did kitchen remodels. A friend of mine two months ago referred me to Universal Home Renovations. My friend suggested that I speak with Richard because he was knowledgeable and friendly. I spoke with him and we developed a plan. Richard did my remodel and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. He quoted me a price and that was my final price. Other than jumping through hoops with the Ma building inspectors office and playing town hall bing with them everything went great. Some places try increase their prices and tack on extra fees and the quality of their work is superb!!! The kitchen & bath this company did for our 2nd home is amazing ! I highly recommend Universal Home Renovations.
Derek and his guys did a fabulous job on the rock wall, backfill for our pool, and fencing around the pool equipment! Derek had excellent design ideas and made sure that we were fully satisfied! I would highly recommend them!
Brian and his crew go "above and beyond" with their dedication to their customers. We have used them twice. Once for tile cleaning and re-grouting in our bathroom. The day they were scheduled to come was a bad ice storm and they needed to cancel. They re-scheduled but then had problems with one of their trucks and couldn't get to us as planned. We both work full-time and they then re-scheduled at our convenience on a Sunday. The person they sent again had delays related to weather and couldn't arrive until late in the day. He stayed until almost 10:00pm to complete the job, not wanting to inconvenience us any further. The second time we called them was when ice dams caused us to have a leak through the tile ceiling in our bathroom. They scheduled within a few days of our call and had a crew here all day long, as our roof was encased with thick ice dams and huge long icicles and then did not quit until everything was taken care of. We will use them again and often and I would recommend them highly and without any reservation. They are the BEST!!
I needed a few things done around the house in a timely manner because I am looking to put our house on market so I got a few estimates from a couple of guys. I ended up hiring Steve lanfredi. his professionalism and knowledge helped me reach my goal. His prices too were very reasonable. The other guys were way too expensive. I recommend Steve to everyone, he can do it all. Tanya
Fabiano had a very difficult (extremely heavy) piece of lawn equipment to remove and did a remarkable job. He was professional, very polite and pleasant. I would certainly call him again!
This was the first time Joe worked for me. He was punctual, neat, did everything I wanted done in a timely manner. He removed all debris. I plan on having him do more work for me and I highly recommend him.
The contracotr did an excellent job on our back splash. He identified how busy he was and his availability. Gave a fair estimate, not too much change from the original quote (a couple unforeseen issues came into play). I would use them again.
James responded promptly every time I contacted him. While I was at work he stopped by my home to take measurements, picked up my Lowe's credit card to shop for materials, and returned to install the new door and storm door. He even let me dog out of his crate to play in the yard while Jim worked and he cleaned up all the dust from the installation. Jim will be coming back to install railings and stairs on the front of my house as well as a gutter. Definitely hire him!
They removed a rather large poured concrete patio and walkways. The process was great! The team that came out was friendly, knew what they were doing and were extra careful working around the foundation of the house which is always a concern when operating heavy equipment that close to the house.
Im a single guy that considers myself pretty organized but maybe over 20 years Ive let some things pile up. I always think Ill get to it, but I never seem to find time. What started this whole process with Halcyon Home was my record collection. I recently purchased a turntable so I went into my basement and started to pull LPs to play but they needed to be cleaned. I cleaned a few and they sounded great but got overwhelmed at the thought of cleaning my whole collection; I must have hundreds. I told a friend and they said that they worked with a woman recently that had helped organize their home and I should contact her. I called Halcyon Home and spoke with Courtney Watson, the owner. I explained my situation and she said she could clean and organize my records (however I liked; alphabetical or by genre), as well as archive them, making sure they were stored properly. She would make sure each album sleeve was in good shape or replaced, and then get the appropriate storage boxes. I was excited and relieved and we agreed on a fair hourly rate. It took a few days as each record had to be hand washed and dried. Courtney used the correct soap and special towels to dry each one, purchased new sleeves (some were missing, others were damaged by age and a basement flood I had a few years ago). She labeled each record and filed them alphabetically. I was not only impressed with the job she did with my record collection (we learned I had 297!), but I particularly appreciated the way she moved through my home with respect and the way she communicated her process and schedule. I was so happy we began to discuss other organizational projects that she could help me with. I have collected a lot of artwork in my travels, photographs before digital, books and lots of clothing. Working with Courtney has been great; shes smart as a whip, funny, respectful of my privacy and easy to work with. Im glad to be working with her and I have a great sense of accomplishment; even though shes doing all the work. I highly recommend Courtney and Halcyon Home.
When I contacted Old World Construction, I expected to speak with a receptionist who would take my name and number and call me back. I spoke directly with MJ, which make me happy, he came out to the house, did a review with me, listened, and gave advise. I have never been more confident about a hiring out a job that I needed done, or more confident that I did not have to worry about the house or the dogs! With the dogs in the house and having access to the yard, I worry constantly when work is being done, knowing that MJ and his crew will watch out for the dogs, play with them, and ensure they are secured when needed is a huge relief! Their communication is outstanding, and they expect the best! I have worked with him closely on numerous occasions, and I will continue to do so!
Excellent work and plays my favorite music!❤️
Mike completed the work fast and as requested. The door needed to be replaced as part of a housing inspection, and the inspection passed the following day, so everything worked out well! Would definitely work with Mike again.
Josh was a pleasure to work with. He does fantastic work at great prices. We would hire him again without thinking twice.
