Our company hired Martha (Penny) Guyer to work with us writing for a New York State grant. As usual we had an aggressive deadline, a number of questions to answer and no real idea on where to start. We were looking for an experienced grant writer who would not only help us write contents, but also guide us and manage the project to ensure we met the deadlines. We interviewed a number of grant writers and decided that Penny was the person for the job. During the project Penny demonstrated to us her ability: • To take our “technical jargon” and to craft it into meaningful paragraphs. • To research specific topics and provide valuable data to support our grants • To manage us and the project to ensure we successfully met our deadlines. • To always be energetic and willing work with us making last minute changes. An example of Penny’s abilities were on display towards the end of our grant writing process. With a week to go, we came to the realization that we were exceeding the maximum characters on all answers! Without hesitation, Penny tackled the problem and worked with us to ensure the message we wanted was not lost as we scaled back the characters to each answer. As of this writing, we are well position to receive our grant. We will definitely engage Penny when we have other grants!

Penny was a complete pleasure to deal with! Resume making time can often go hand in hand with the stressfull events of job searching. Her easy going, highly professional manner put me completely at ease. I really felt like I had an " all in " partner from start to finish, which was less than a week. A real pro for sure!!!

Although Penny is super nice she is not meant to be a resume writer. I ended up with a resume that is not usable and paid $60 for it.

I'm sorry that Suzette & I were unable to agree on what her resume should highlight & what to leave out. We finally agreed that we were at a stalemate & ended our relationship. Suzette had agreed to $120 for the job, and paid the first half. When we decided to end the job, we agreed that she did not owe the balance..
