It was a pleasure working with Cy! He is friendly, professional and always completed the work earlier than promised! We hired him to draft our custom home building plans! I highly recommend his services!
Eduardo and his team did an amazing job on our dormer addition/bathroom renovation. Its difficult renovating and building in an occupied home and he and his crew were nothing but gentlemanly, respectful and kind. They kept the house and work space as clean as possible and were very respectful of our private space. The project fell directly within the schedule allotted in our contract and true to his word, there were zero changes orders even as we adjusted elements along the way. Eduardo himself is a very easy person to work with. He is always available and will respond to any concern or need any time of the day or night. If youve ever done any sort of renovation, I dont think theres anything more highly to compliment than responsiveness and Eduardo scores a 10 in that category. The end result is the bathroom we dreamed off, inside and out. The tile work is amazing and we are equally impressed with the exterior finishing and detailed time spent matching the new to old on our 1890s home. We would not hesitate to contact Boston Best Construction for future projects, knowing the time and attention we would receive. Other details of our renovation including pictures can be found at www.birdsofberwick.com Thank you, Eduardo!
Just Right Construction just completed work on our home. We had a deck built. Mike and the crew were great to work with. Mike was always available to Answer any questions and address any concerns we had. Work was done on time and the quality exceptional. I would recommend Mike and Just Right Construction to anyone that needs work done on their home.
We hired Bob to demo an odd room with a roof that was built in the middle of our loft. He’d estimated that it would be a two or three day job. As demos go, it’s hard to tell exactly until you get into it. Unfortunately, the structure was built to withstand a hurricane and was a much tougher job than expected. Everything was excessively nailed and had to be pounded out piece by piece. Yet, Bob finished in two days with everything hauled to the dump and the work area cleaned. He was on time and courteous and worked around my schedule. Before he could do the demo, we had to have the sprinkler system rerouted, and Bob was very accommodating with our start date. A hard worker, and I’d highly recommend him.
Mr. Andriello came to my condo to access an ice dam in a 6 unit building. He gave me a quote later the same day and was prepared to work the following day. He arrived at the designated time and completed the job within 4 hours. He removed all ice from the walkways that had fallen from the roof. In addition, he sprinkled ice melt on the walkways to ensure the safety of the owners. I am impressed with Mr. Andriello's professionalism and attention to details (applying ice melt). I recommend his services.
This firm turned out to be one of the better contractors I’ve used in recent years. As far as rehire, yes, if the bid was right of course. The work was clean and I was impressed there was no nickel and diming as I’ve experienced with others. I would say the value was above average for this reason. I am satisfied with my hire. Lastly, I have an 19 year old daughter who stays home after school most of the time, and with so many men on the job, everyone was extremely professional and not creepy, I think what really worked for then is that the Project Manger set the tone for how the operations must take place and no buts or ifs. So I am very thankful for their outstanding professionalism.
Baystate Group Associates recently finished our 750 sq foot basement and the end result far exceeded our expectations. Victor stayed engaged with my wife and I daily throughout the project and kept us updated on the progress daily. I don't think the basement would have come out as it did if Victor didn't make several great recommendations along the way in regards to the basement layout, fixtures, colors, and other specific details. The team's that were at our house at various times throughout the job made sure that everything was clean and spotless at the end of everyday. I highly recommend VIctor and Baystate Group Associates for any refinished basement, remodeling, or building needs.
I was recommended at first by another neighbor for painting services. They were excellent and painted almost my entire house, high ceilings and all. When I didn't like the color of one main room. No issues, he said pick another color and we will be back tomorrow for an extra day. Then I learned they provided a variety of services and they became my general contractor and build an in-law apartment. The level of attention and detail was incredible. When he sad he would be there he was, when he couldn't he always called. After it was complete we had a slight problem with the air condition, which had initially been working fine for months, I called, they came immediately and corrected it. No questions asked. I call them for everything even when last year we needed someone to take a look at what was going on up on the roof with all the snow. From Plumbing, Electricians, HVAC, Carpentry, and Painting this is one stop shopping. No need to look further. We have recommended them to many people and people always ask who did the work at our home. Also no surprising costs like some other people we got quotes from. We live in an upper class neighborhood and his work is impeccable. Ask take a look at photos at some of the work they've done. I gladly and highly recommend using their services.
Russ and his team was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to my inquiry (leveling my floors for a floating wood installation) and even adjusted his projects to fit my tight timeframe. He provided tips for other renovations we are doing throughout the house and even allowed up to borrow tools needed to do so. we have worked with several contractors over the last few weeks and Russ by far was the more professional.
Hired Bilmar Construction to do a porch teardown and build a deck in its place. Workmanship was excellent, all of the work was done quickly with absolutely no problems. Extremely pleased with the completed work.
Kitchen Renovation- Alex did a wonderful job helping to custom mount my new kitchen cabinets. He also helped to modify a few cabinets we needed help with.He was very professional and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend Alex to anyone with carpentry needs.
Jeff Crafford is the best carpenter and contractor around, and we highly recommend him to you. He is creative, hard-working, dedicated, and exceptionally talented. He completed a kitchen and basement renovation project for us, as well as a few smaller projects such as door replacements and opening up our living room and stairwell. Jeff is a master craftsman and a true gentleman. He is kind, honest and true to his word. The improvements he made to our home are absolutely beautiful and his prices were very reasonable. If you are fortunate enough to hire Jeff for your new construction or home renovation project, you will not be disappointed. Great guy, great contractor! Julie & Frank Hackett Taunton, MA
Without question, we are very happy with Andrew Winter and would hire him again for our next renovation project. We hired Andrew (Drew) Winter to handle a kitchen, bathroom and laundry room renovation in our recently purchased home. After evaluating many contractors, including contractors recommended to us by family and friends, we decided to go with Andrew. From our first meeting we felt comfortable working with Drew. He was upfront and honest, provided fair pricing and a realistic payment schedule and was an excellent communicator. Many times answering my calls, text and emails before and after normal business hours. At the end of the day, he is the type of person that just wants to make things right. In a little less than 8 weeks, Andrew transformed our 1935s kitchen, bathroom and laundry room into a modern marvel. There were many obstacles along the way and living though a renovation can be very challenging, however Andrew went above and beyond to keep our home as functional as possible and we appreciated his honesty, guidance, positivity and dedication to our project and happiness. What started out as a few minor renovations to make our home more livable for a few years turned into what we would be happy to call our forever home. That being said, Drew is already talking about the house he is going to build for us in a few years.
Christian did an amazing job on the crown molding in our new house. He was extremely responsive (we had a very little time to get the work done before moving in), listened carefully to what we wanted, provided his thoughts/expertise to ensure the finished product was what we wanted and did a meticulous job on the execution. Many of our early visitors have commented that the "crown molding makes the rooms" (Christian helped us with four rooms). We would hire him again without hesitation (in fact, we've already asked him to help us with several other projects and referred him to friends)!
From the start to the end, Kevin and his crew did what they said they would do. They showed up when they were supposed and were very professional while at my home. Our deck came out beautifully and I would highly recommend Kevin and Chris and crew to create your vision. Plus our two dogs loved them.
My husband and I had just built our new home and we were looking for a painting company to take care of the interior. We had heard about Brothers of the Brush through a friend of ours who is a contractor and decided to give them a call. Not only were they very friendly and professional they definitely exceeded our expectations. A close friend of ours is in the process of building his new home and we have already recommended Brothers of the Brush.
Umberto designed my family's home, and I fell in love with the space that he created. He designed a multi-story brick home with windows that appear to wrap around corners and stretch nearly floor to ceiling letting in as much of the Boston sunlight as appears in the sky. Umberto's talent is obvious in his ability to marry two opposite characteristics. He created an interior with high ceilings and skylights that gives one the feeling of space and air while at the same time creating little nooks in different areas of the home that are cozy places where you can read a book or listen to music. The unique design of our home also allows us to entertain many friends and family with ease but at the same time is just perfect for everyday living. I just love how our home feels.
They did a fabulous job our yard now looks amazing with the new landscaping and fence.
Our house was a 1955 ranch-style house with 3 bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, and living/dining room that we moved into in 1995. We had been looking to add a second bathroom and had originally worked with an architect from NH to do a modest front and rear bump out to give us more room to fit in a second bathroom. This architect had to withdraw from the job and recommended David Kinsella of TBC. David initially made some modest changes to the plan that made sense. After some further discussion, in which my wife and I raised the possibility of a larger scale project to modernize the style of the house, David developed a plan that essentially rebuilt the house except for our previously remodeled kitchen and original foundation. This new plan converted our house into modern design with a more open floor plan, completely new roof line, loft space, re-finished basement (and the second bathroom). David was able to fit this into an only slightly expanded footprint in order to comply with town regulations. Throughout the process, David kept our budget in mind and would typically present different price options for us to choose from to allow us to come up with a reasonable comprise between price with style. In addition TBC worked with the town to make sure our design stayed within our zoning and conservation restrictions. After deciding to go ahead with the project, we interviewed several contractors and decided that TBC brought us the best value for our money and would also allow David to oversee the project as needed. We started the project in June 2011 and completed the project in May 2012. The project did take several months longer than expected, but did stay on budget. The major problem that occurred that delayed the project was that in the summer of 2011, the original subcontracted framers were being sent to other jobs by their boss even though TBC was told they would be coming to our job. Hence, instead of working full time on our job, they were working less than half time. Eventually TBC had to fire them and find a new contractor to step in. At the time we felt that TBC should have replaced them sooner, but perhaps this was difficult due to contractual obligations. (We also found this first group of framers were slobs who did not have much regard for the fact that we were still living in the house.) By the end of summer 2011, the house was not completely framed and roofed and number of rain storms (including hurricane Irene) slowed down progress further. In mid-October we were still living in the part of the house and we agreed at this point that we would move out to allow for a more efficient work flow. From this point construction generally proceeded ahead, except for a few delays do to weather and scheduling conflicts that arose for other subcontractors, no doubt due to the significant delay caused by the no-show framers. In the end the house is beautiful and works for us better than we could have imagined. While the house has not expanded much in terms of square feet, the open floor plan and high ceiling/roof line combined with increased natural lighting gives a much more expansive feeling inside. From the curb, the house has modern angular green metal roof with cedar siding and one has to look hard to find any resemblance to the original house. At the completion of of the project, TBC was very responsive to completing punch-list items and other minor issues that arose. While my wife and I certainly had stressful times during the renovation (and certainly did a lot of second guessing our decision to renovate rather than move), we always felt that David had a personal interest in getting the job done correctly and making sure that we were happy in the end. In that regard, David was very accessible by email or phone before, during, and after the work. In summary, David Kinsella provided the creativity to design a renovation plan that was truly transforming for our house and TBC was then able to see the plan through to successful completion.
The job was to completely remodel my kitchen, including incorporating another room, opening the kitchen to the dining room, relocating the powder room and adding a mudroom. J.L. Stone was great. Very neat. They sealed off the construction and I was amazed at how little dust got through, even during demolition. They were very respectful of me living in my home during the remodeling. The specifications and allowances were clear. I wanted to be able to use the kitchen by the first day of school and they met my timeframe. Most important, the finished product was beautiful and still is, several years later. I was so pleased with the company's work that I hired them to build a patio and pergola in my backyard. I recommend this company without hesitation.
Had a deck custom built and I am thrilled with the look and workmanship
