My son took voice and piano lessons from Victor when he taught at Sharon Music Academy. Victor astutely discovered my son had perfect pitch very early on. His genuine excitement was infectious. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable and patient and very dedicated to nurturing the best in his students.
I highly recommend Courtney. She will make you feel comfortable from the get-go. She has everything I look for in a teacher. She's a great listener. She also has a gift when it comes to explaining the science behind the voice. I adore my voice lessons with her. She's helped me to improve my voice, and also has helped me gain confidence when I sing.
Barbara works with both of my daughters teaching them voice and guitar and ukelele. She has been fantastic with them. She has not only taught them the music but helped them with performance tips and writing their own music. The space where she teaches is amazing and has an incredible aura about it. She is the real deal and shares her years of experience with them on so many levels.

I believe that music instruction should be enjoyable, built on a solid technical foundation, inspire creativity, and match each individual's goals. Learning an instrument, like the piano for instance, has many proven benefits. Playing music both assists in children's development and enriches the lives of adults. My proven teaching methods enable you to play the music you love from the very beginning, instead of working out of boring, outdated method books. Traditional music education develops knowledge and skill in the student by running through method books of songs that are of little or no interest to you. I don't like to take that approach. I strive to make lessons fun, helping to overcome the risk that you or your child will become disinterested before learning the basic skills of the instrument. For people who have already developed these skills, an instructor who is not trained professionally in music theory and ear training cannot get you to the next level.
I tutor math for students in high school and beyond. I carry the same mentor traits I did as a Massachusetts Maritime Academy tutor while tutoring students with positive reinforcement, practical goals both short-term and long-term, and life-long lessons and values. As an engineering major, I learned the concepts and applications of mathematics including up to Calculus II and differential equations, fluid mechanics, electronics, instrumentation and controls, thermodynamics and many other courses and labs. During my time in school, I learned how to teach different fellow students with different learning abilities and styles and lead them to success with confidence. As a bagpiper since the age of 9, I hold numerous metals from competing in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association and have honed my skills through years of instruction and playing at events such as weddings, funerals, memorials and others. I have been taught by and have learned from some of the best bagpipers in the world, including Iain Massey, Brian Yates, Ed Neigh and Bill Caudill. With my extensive background in bagpipes, I continue to provide both services of performing for any and all occasions and of teaching lessons for people of all ages and talent levels.
